Yep. Sounds like mother had narcissistic symptoms. My mother used to be so mad that I was closer to her mom than she was. When my grandmother passed away, she basically tried to erase all the times I had to stay with her because my mother kicked me out or because we were moving again. My grandmother was VERY outspoken about my mother’s abuse so it definitely pissed her off that those conversations with my grandmother is what made me realize my mom was not a normal parent. @@Jtrich1015 I've only seen this online. In real life when people's tasked with it, they usually consent because they're genuinely innocent of the accused crime. I've never seen or heard of a dude saying "You want to search my car for a body in my trunk? You think I off'd somebody, officer? Well- no!" Every single time a genuine innocent party is asked for consent to search they just go "I don't care, do it." Everyone's a Ricky, including me. Only thing I find moronic is actual criminals consenting to a search. If you know you're guilty, why tf would you let them search through your stuff without a warrant? But eh.
@The_Real_Mier2 ай бұрын
@@gabeminajj They don’t ask for consent to search FOR A BODY IN THE TRUNK. They just ask for consent to a search of the vehicle. I think that almost everyone would consent to a search for a body, if they are told that. But the police is also known for trying to find ANYTHING incriminating and ask for permission to search someone’s car without any indication of anything criminal whatsoever, which is actually not allowed, as is stated in the Constitution: There MUST be a reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing before searching someone’s property (car of home)… Remember: it is not unusual to take up to over an hour (!) to search someone’s car… So why would anyone agree to that when they have done absolutely nothing…?
@gabeminajj2 ай бұрын
@@The_Real_Mier You can reason why someone should or shouldn't do it, I'm just saying I've only heard of this concept online. In actual real life, innocent people consent to searches all the time. Big and small. And CAR searches don't take over an hour, I don't know where you've heard that from. Exceptions doesn't override the rule, at most it's like 30 minutes. I've been searched 10+ times (marijuana related) and it's NEVER taken anywhere NEAR an hour, nonetheless half an hour. 20 minutes at MOST. Nine times oujt of ten, if a cop wants to search a dude's car and he knows he has nothing he'll say "I don't care, do it." I always see people say "cops want to find anything to lock u up" but overall I just disagree. Dudes just want to look what they're looking for then dip. This whole paranoid schizo "all cops are out to get you" mentality is for the birds, to me. If you're genuinely innocent and don't possess anything illegal, then that's null and void. I have nothing in my car, why would I prolong the inevitable by trying to debate-bro with a cop in the middle of the street? I have nothing in my house. If a bunch of cops are outside beating around the bush that they're looking for a missing person, I'm not going "Well, uh. I'm gonna need that warrant champ-" No. I'm just going "Alright hurry up, I got a Madden game on pause rn." They'll take twenty minutes looking in and around my rooms, see no one's there, then leave. If I'm stopped by police in my car and they "smell" some stuff, I know I don't possess anything illegal. If they want to search it, search it. I'm not a criminal. If I'm innocent, I have nothing to hide.

the problem with body language is that it's used AFTER the fact to justify behaviors when we already know the outcome. Who knows how many people are totally inncoent that also exhibit these same behaviors. This is why body language "expertise" is pretty much bunk. Even if it correlates to a behavior 50% of the time, half the time it will mean absolutely nothing and police have no way of knowing which is which. You get answers through line of questioning and checking consistency of stories. Body language, at absolute most, might give you a hunch to pursue a line of questioning, if someone gets visibly uncomfortable.

I work in a crime/aligned field and I'm haunted by some of the images I have to VIEW. I can't imagine if I had to SMELL and SEE these things IN PERSON. I'd be a basket case. These officers don't get enough credit for not letting these things effect their families. I've had days where I just need quiet time and don't want to interact with anyone for a bit (after work). I'm lucky not to have children at home. It's not like you can tell kids "mommy doesn't wanna play with you because she saw a dead body in a trunk today and needs a little timeout...go play".

To be fair, that tends to happen with certain missing persons reports. This may be the most well produced true crime channel ive seen. They piece all the details together perfectly. This and Explore With Us are great channels

Saying to the cops that her missing mum has got her feeling aggravated and not worried is telling

Imagine you get innocent cought up in a murdercase like Ricky. Even he was not long suspected. Just to get in this situation and sit in front of 2 detectives suspecting you to be in a murder case involved. What a nightmare.

I am surprised that she didn’t try to say that he was the killer . It seemed that the cops were trying to spoon feed her to get her to say that he was involved.

I wonder if the guy she cheated with helped her move her mom's body. I bet that's why whe wouldn't answer the question at all.

I'm SO happy that for once an innocent man isnt the one being framed for this, even though they really tried to. Props on Ricky for being strong and honest ecen in the face of being accused of murder. That psycho carol can rot in prison. Sending my deepest condolences for Patricia, her grandkids, and Allison ❤

Yeah the system is so corrupt, look how eager those cops were to put away an innocent man. They were trying to tell him he looks nervous and literally trying to convince an innocent man that he's guilty.

They sure tried.

Did they ever question any of Carol's flings whom she was cheating with. One of them could of helped her

I live in carols neighborhood and holy shit watching this gives me chills. From nobody hearing gunshots to how she thought she was just gonna live in her mom’s house until whenever she felt like it…. wild. This is a somewhat nice area and I couldn’t imagine living next to someone like this.

What creeped me out most of all: that extravagantly-pink child’s car right next to where they found Patricia’s body
