I knew Montgomery when he and I were in the same sober house. I found him to be uncaring and not a nice person. He had a young child that lived near the sober house. He treated him awful. While sitting in the living room Adam would brag about his various arrests and imprisonments. His life of crime, he said, began when he was 15. Adam bragged about his "plan". When he got kicked out of one sober house he'd go to another one, claiming he was serious about his recovery. This went on for months. It was his way of not ending up on the street. On one occasion when Adam became violent I looked into his eyes and saw evil. Pure evil! Of course, I had no idea that evil would cause the murder of his daughter. Adam would brag about what happens to people who hurt children in prison, in the general population. The tables have turned. Adam was very concerned about being in the general population. He requested to be put in solitary to keep him safe. Who was there to keep Harmony safe? Adam got his kicks out of bullying people in the house who were insecure and smaller than him. In prison, Adam will be getting treated the way he bullied people in the house. One day he'll have to answer to the higher power for his actions. R.I.P. Harmony.

I work in 1 of the hospitals near here. I've come in contact with several people, drug addicts who know Adam & are associated with the crowd he dealt with. Several people that knew the ex gf too, the innocent 1. Not the wife. It's so incredibly sad bc from what I've been able to gather... it was NO SECRET that him & his wife were peices of Sh** AND that their children were directly in harms way due to their drug use, & this clown pretending to be a gangster. No one ever said or did anything, no one ever gave their kids a 2nd thought.. They're all circling the drain due to their addictions. That's their life, & all that matters to them. Let me just share: if the drug itself doesn't take u out quickly, it will & is killing u slowly from the inside out. These people have become 'frequent fliers' mid 20s - 30s. Extremely sick & each time presenting undoable damage. Lastly, it is absolutely PATHETIC how many people tried to come forward & "help" trying to get a peice of that reward money. Harmony has kept me up at night. It's been 1 of those cases that sticks with u & is always in ur thoughts. This was way too close to home for me. It's easy to immerse yourself in these tragedies, & gain enough information to give u nightmares. But to see how many lowlives revolved around this sorry excuse of a man & slob of a woman... it's despicable

@cherylbritt72272 жыл бұрын
YES, the more patient, loving and understanding you are with your kids the more open and honest they will be. Screaming, hitting, etc doesn’t do anything but create kids who are fearful and will eventually become better liars and hide everything from you. Mine come to me about everything and In 15 years Of being a parent I have never caught my kids in even a small lie. I hate when people make fun of parents like us who don’t spank, hit etc. Or say kids these days are a certain way because they aren’t spanked or hit. It’s nonsense. My parents just think I was good because they did that stuff. Reality is they just don’t know the bad things I did when I was young. I hid it all because I couldn’t trust them and was scared of them. I could never tell them anything.
@elizabethgrogan85532 жыл бұрын
@@cherylbritt7227 I took the same approach with my daughter. I never once hit her. I always told her how much I love her and to come to me if she had problems. She did, and soon learned that her trust in me was absolute. Sure, she had her moments. All children do. I found that getting down to her level, and discussing the issues, always ended in hugs. She has grown into a lovely young woman, and I'm so proud of her. This evil man has now been arrested and charged with the murder of little Harmony. How anybody could murder their own child, or any child, is beyond comprehension. Its heartbreaking for Harmony's mother and family. RIP Harmony

@imfinethanksforasking10 ай бұрын
@@kristinn3367 indeed, he responded like a man who has ongoing relationships which are adversarial but usually cordial, with law enforcement, i.e., like a man who is familiar with interrogation tactics. I understand the case is emotional and he is a monster but his interaction with the police, if guilty (and he was, and is) was going to be nothing but a fishing expedition. Picture the same type of guy with the same accent in a movie about a Boston bank heist, and then the scene where he gets picked up. He will say the same things and nothing more while being outwardly helpful, but the tenor will not be, and has not been here, other than brusk and professional. Because this man had a job doing crime, and hence trying to get away with it. It's not monstrous to not talk to cops. That's my point. He would have said this if they asked about ANYTHING. If True Crime became the law of the land, we would probably have indefinite detainment and 'enhanced interrogation' within a few years, because monsters etc. Everyone is emotional while the parties in this clip are all rational actors, despite how irrational their crime might have been. Everyone is following self-interest. He already killed her, they are telling him to reveal her body and therefore be less reviled, which they all know is not true. He tells them he is mystified, and will talk when he has a lawyer. This is America. The state's motto is 'live free or die' etc. Or in this case die in prison, but not before due process.

(Per Capita means if you evaluate it for the number of people i.e. how many murders actually happen per 100,000 people in Texas vs California or New York vs Ohio) I think you'll be surprised to find that the most dangerous Places in America are red states.

No matter where you live in the United States the judicial system is overwhelmed and continues to work with disparity. Obviously it's failed multiple times which is one too many. Yet no one has a solution. Not to child services, overcrowding in prison, lengthy death row, foster care investigation system, it goes on and on. We are told to vote and that alone is supposed to change things and it never does.
@SeattleJen_2 жыл бұрын
It's important to go local, if you want to affect real change. Unfortunately the closer politicians get to DC, the further they get away from real people. I vote Democratic because it's the party that cares about enacting policy and is most aligned with my values. I don't care about tax cuts for the rich or having a Dear Leader. It is important to vote, in every election, every time, but local races are the ones that will affect our daily lives. PS. Turn off cable news. There's not much reporting there, it's all about future prediction from pundits that want to keep us all worried and anxious. The sky isn't always falling if you stay off of social media.

AS SOON as the cop says people are coming 'out of the woodwork' at 10:20, Adam asks for another cigarette. He also leans forward & puts his hands on the table like he is holding a poker hand (10:23). He literally sits that way, looking like he's protecting his poker hand, for the rest of the interview, another 20 minutes. It's like unconsciously he's physically mimicking what he's doing in the interview--protecting his cards, not showing his hand, holding back the information he has. I think he knows the ultimate information he has--the cards he's hiding in his hands there on the table--is the whereabouts of Harmony's body.

We have to do better as decent human beings to protect all these innocent children that have already had DCFS check on them and STILL END UP MURDERED by the hands of the people that are supposed to protect them. There needs to be higher standards and more accountability for the social workers that leave these children in homes that are clearly not suitable for children. The amount of children that have been in the system and still returned to a parent that ends up murdering them is absolutely despicable.
