Also, I'm pretty sure that nearly all actually incompetent people wouldn't think or know to say "I'm incompetent" immediately to a cop. A true incompetent person would probably not understand a) what they did wrong in the first place b) might get confused and overwhelmed by an interaction with police - again, they would be too shook up to know to immediately say that and c) I'm almost positive that once you go through court/get charged once and you're actually incompetent, or severely mentally ill, they flag your profile so that if cops ever ran let's say a very autistic person's name - they can say "oh we've dealt with you before and we're now privy to the extra accommodation we're going to need to display when handling this situation". She's gross. Same as when someone commits something extra heinous and claims a psychotic break or insanity when all the psychologists agree they're perfectly fine. 😅

From what I've read from comments on other bodycam vids - depends on the state. Sometimes if they take the suspect to the hospital before the station, the suspect pays, but if they do it after the suspect has been processed at the station its on the station's dime. I'm not from America and not a cop or lawyer though so I don't know for sure.

Easy way to take care of it is to go to court, tell them the day the car was stolen. You should also have a police report :/ a judge should review footage and take your evidence into fact that you weren't in it. Then hopefully they take issue with your car and its tags still being on the road.
