Water bill solution...air water harvesting nets. They are totally electricity free and used in US, Africa, and South America. You can put them on a rooftop, a back yard, front yard and get ah artist looking one. This way your water is free for garden plants etc. Put a brick in your toilet tank, each flush is 10 gal or better yet get electric odorless toilets. Finally tumble washers are energy and water efficient and easier on clothes. Getting a flash heater instead of ah water heater saves tons on electricity. In the case of emergency fill the bathtub. These are a few things that can make a huge difference. Hope they help Thank you for yoyr service Stay safe

I’m not sure how her loans work but with mine and everyone I know, there’s interest applied. Which means that yeah, she can pay it off slowly over time, but that also means she’s paying back more money due to interest. The faster it’s paid off, the less amount for interest she’ll have to pay.

You know what else LAPD officers have that I can gaurantee the vast majority of you guys don't? One of the most generous pension plans around where you can start receiving it at age 50 with 20 years of service. At 20 years you get 50% of the final highest 12 consecutive months of service...not salary which is an important designation. Over 33 years of service it's 90%. So if you were able to join the force in your late teens or 20s and retired today in your early 50s making $100,000 you get $90,000...FOR LIFE. And that's assuming the officer didn't work a bunch of overtime else his or her final 12 consecutive could potentially be worth MORE than their final base pay. That's the equivalent of almost a $3 million 401k. On top of that if the officer has been really diligent and maxing out their 401k and IRA they will also have another $1-2 million in those accounts. I'm just pointing this out to say there is a misconception that police are the public employees that are vastly underpaid. For most decent size departments their retirement benefits essentially makes them millionaires.

@ariefraiser140
@ariefraiser140 6 жыл бұрын
@@rubenscott3972 Correct. NYPD also has generous packages as well as Chicago and really any major city police department. Now I'm not knocking it but what other occupation can you think of today in which you don't need a college degree but can retire with a six figure gauranteed pension for life? And yes it can be a dangerous job but it's not even in the top 10 of most dangerous jobs in the U.S. Add to that not every officer works in a unit that's inherently hazardous. There are plenty that work in public relation, recruitment, desk duties/administration. Even the military appears to be moving to a hybrid define benefit (pension)/define contribution plan. Do I think cops pensions should be changed or reduced? Not really I'm of the frame of mind that we as workers shouldn't be pulling others down because corporate America is giving us a raw deal but holding corporate America to account to give us a better retirement deal.
@touher6071
@touher6071 6 жыл бұрын
Theres also a risk that you wont make it to receive the benefits or may potentially be injuried or quit as a result of the line of work. Dont rely on the government, corporate America or an employer to get you to retirement. Take controls of your financials and continue to get financial educated. One of the largest failure in the U.S. education system is the priority of finanancial courses. History , art, science, math courses are great, but finanances and economic holistically makes it possible to prepare for the future. The more we become financially educated, the more we can control the financial direction of our lives.

Military Veterans The NYPD has a special place for those who have served, and we value the training, skills and management experience of military personnel, which is one of the main reasons we actively recruit veterans. Additional benefits available to military veterans include: Veterans can earn GI Bill benefits in addition to their salary during their first two years. Police Officer Exam scores are kept on file indefinitely. Upon leaving the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans have 6 months to start the hiring process. Veterans can add 4 years to the maximum hiring age, or 6 years if they served during war or national emergency. This applies only to veterans under age 40. Veterans can buy back three years of their military time to be applied to their NYPD retirement. Officers who are active reservists are allowed 30 paid military days per year, in addition to their vacation time. Educational Opportunities Joining the NYPD is not only a great way to launch a career, it’s a great way to enhance your education. Here are just some of the benefits: Full salary and benefits are available on the first day of academy training. Earn up to 29 college credits from your academy training that can go toward a degree. Several institutions offer full or partial scholarships to NYPD members.

OT is available in NY though and that adds up. After 5 years a lot of people in accounting or marketing are making less than cops after taking into account OT and pension. City employees do really well, but that’s why the city is going broke.

If she exceeds her quota on traffic tickets, does she get a bonus?
@pedromendez8405
@pedromendez8405 4 жыл бұрын
wheelinthesky300 It doesn’t work like that😂 police officers don’t get any bonus or pay for writing tickets. Many states actually have a law against quotas but what cities do is they pressure the police departments to give out more tickets because the money goes to city. But police officers rarely go out and hand out tickets because they know they’ll never see that money.
@lolhi3105
@lolhi3105 3 жыл бұрын
You really don’t get how tickets works the last things cops want to do is write tickets it’s not like you 5% for every ticket you write then cops would make way more money.The person who gets a ticket isn’t benefiting and neither is the cop.If a cop writes a speeding ticket than he/she now has to 2-3 more pages of paper work and if the person who gets the ticket decides to fight it which everyone does now the cop has court date which if they don’t attend the ticket gets thrown out.So this means the cop either need to go to court during their duties or take a sick day and go to court and court takes hours.After that there required to do more paperwork and present body and dash cam evidence.The cop has to make their side and attorneys are hard to deal with.Finally after everything is done which is probably 5 months- a year procees.Why got o this much trouble when you work more and make money.Cops aren’t getting a back pay for every ticket they right and she makes 9,000 a month because she has been on the job for 5 years or more you can tell by the stripe she wears on her sleeve and in a lot of big cites after 5 years you salary gets increased by 2-3 thousand dollars and she might work a lot of over time.It’s not that simple,

What rank is she???
@lolhi3105
@lolhi3105 3 жыл бұрын
I’m talking about NYPD Most things are similar but nit alll.Regular cop probably just has more years on the job rank can be noticed by thing on the uniform did you see that she had 1 stripe on her sleeve that signals that she in on the job for over 5 years and under 10.That’s not a rank all cops wear those regardless of rank.But if she had three stripes under he patch she is a Sargent and white shirt means luitenat or up.If you see someone wearing a white shirt with starts on the collar that means they are some sort of chief of a certain part of the department like in NYPD 3-start chief means they are either a chief of transit,patrol,detective,IAB aka rat squad,housing more.4 starts mean chief of department the highest you can go in NYPD.I suggest you look up LAPD ranks on google or KZbin other explain it better.
