@quranhodges98638 жыл бұрын
And I agree with these guys but you cant simulate a life or death situation....I agree that they should be trained to be the calmest of calm but how do you train a simulated nervous cop that is faced with a possible gun. I think the cops need to be mentally trained and tested frequently

I apologize to you for my generation dropping the ball. We should've been taking action a long time ago, as opposed to now, for your generation to live better. We will. I will. Change has to come. I'm frustrated and enraged to the point where I'm finally seeing what people like Mandela, Huey P. Newton, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X (etc) were all talking about. Action is a must for change. @johnorulzu8 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've been noticing this a lot lately. They need to be better trained. They are fucking up sooo badly... A police officer should remain confident about a situation and don't escalate it beyond proportions. That cop REALLY fucked up... Tsk, I also wander why people tend to shoot at someone when they're pinned on the ground... With people surrounding them... And with everyone's smart phones out... Like even if the poor bastard had a gun what would he do with it in that moment?
@mrplummer19888 жыл бұрын
"from the sound of the officer's voice, it doesnt seem he is in control of the situation" how would you sound if you just shot someone whether it was right or wrong
@m1119908 жыл бұрын
As a military veteran I can say that whenever I rightfully use my weapon I am confident and in control. Proper training REQUIRES that you sound confident to maintain control of the people and situation. This officer froze up, his voice was cracking and he even felt the need to explain why he shot the victim. When you are right you dont need to explain especially not at the moment. The woman in the passenger seat had more control than him.

I agree with everything you guys are saying but just so everyone is aware if you watch the Philando Castile video all the way through the woman said it was a Chinese cop who shot him so its not just white cops who don't know what they're doing. Either way no matter what race the cops or the people being shot are, there should be consequences for the cops in those situations. The videos don't lie and from what I can tell the cops were very much in the wrong in both videos. Besides, shooting someone 4 or 6 times in the chest isn't a mistake. They meant to do that otherwise they would've shot them anywhere else but its almost like they were in fact shooting to kill.

these cops need to go through some sort of racial discrimination test in the police academy before they receive there badge, we need some sort of bravery test to separate the men from the boys because most of these cops that shoot first are usually scared little boys who feel like they're in some sort of danger when they're not smh, this is getting out of hand and we are going to have to do something about this A.S.A.P.
@devontewoolridge12138 жыл бұрын

+ThreeSixteen of course they are or we wouldn't have this problem. all I'm trying to say is that we need to make it harder for people to become police officers. I have a couple friends I went to highschool with who are now police officers and these people aren't the smartest guys but its so easy to become a police officer, its basically jus a physical fitness test, we need these people to pass some sort of psychological, racial test at least.

When they say, don't resist, that is an easy thing to do if you have a cop who is not roughing you up. I have seen cop shows where the cops were twisting the suspects arm behind and up their back, or kneeling their head into the ground before they ever started resisting. Ive never been in that situation, but I would imagine that my natural instinct would be to fight against the pain of having my arm seriously twisted, or my face smashed into the cement. I call bullshit. Some cops like that shit.

The officer that spoke at 14.30 and said that his right arm wasn't pinned down and that his arm moved up and down, he is correct and if you look at the 35 second video from: Im jay cap: and if you pause the video at 4 sec and 5 sec you can see that he did move his right arm right when the cop said hes got a gun. I'm not picking sides here, I'm just trying to understand the situation like everyone else. I believe this is what happened, the cop saw the guy bend his arm and reach for his gun then the cop got so in rage that he shot him numerous times. The cop should of trapped his right arm and de escalate the situation but the cop turned mad when he saw him reach for his gun. I also believe he tried to reach for his gun because why would you bend your arm in that situation. Anyway its unfortunate.

All Officers in both incidents WILL NOT be convicted. US Supreme Court case Graham v. Connor 490 U.S. 386. (1989). "The reasonableness of a particular use of force must be judged from the perspective of a reasonable officer on the scene, rather than with the 20/20 vision of hindsight. The calculus of reasonableness must embody allowance for the fact that police officers are often forced to make split-second judgments-in circumstances that are tense, uncertain and rapidly evolving-about the amount of force that is necessary in a particular situation. The test of reasonableness is not capable of precise definition or mechanical application."
