I’ve seen lots of comments about parking on zig zags. Just to make everyone aware I didn’t know he was pulling me over to begin with so I pulled to the side. He pulled in behind me which is when I knew. If it was a problem to be there on the traffic stop 1. The officer wouldn’t have blocked the crossing and 2. He would have asked me to move up a bit. It’s easy to throw opinions saying I am in the wrong when you don’t know the full story! I also understand I may be being too nice for his constant pulling me over but I suppose it’s just how I am🤣no hate just more disappointment🤷♀️

But maybe by stopping car drivers and bikers, they will find the ones that are illegal, driving/riding with no insurance, the same that claim to be someone else amongst many other road crimes, how ill they catch those if they don`t stop them? People seem to get annoyed when they are stopped but I never have because I have always made sure that I am legally on the road, I have been caught speeding twice but I was speeding and I had to accept that I was breaking the law. You never know, when you bike is stolen, stopping the person that has stolen it will only be caught once they have stopped him. Perhaps if a biker smashes into your car and he has no insurance, if the police had stopped him, he would not have damaged your car. These are real crimes and they can affect your life quite a bit possibly for years.
@paulroberts92395 ай бұрын
@@honestchris7472 how does stopping the same person fall into any of your argument, this is harassment pure and simple, I suspect from your response that you have never been in a situation where the boys and girls in blue just don’t like your face, let’s hope you never do.

@@paulroberts9239 well, the guy on the bike said that he had three points on his license and perhaps the police were checking that he was legal to ride the bike, he never said why he had the points did he but he had obviously had had something wrong with the exhaust before, they may have even been checking that. Perhaps that is a good policy, stop people that they know flout the laws for driving because they already know that they will. These police could not even see his face, perhaps they were checking that he was the person riding the bike and it had not been stolen. I don`t really care, I hope that they keep on stopping drivers to check whether they are legal, I wish that they would stop cyclists when they ride through red traffic lights, then perhaps the piece of slime that damaged my car could be found and forced to pay me the £350 that the repair cost me.
@paulroberts92395 ай бұрын
@@honestchris7472 No they were harassing, as I said, you are clearly annoyed due to some unfortunate incident that occurred and for that I see your issue. But that doesn’t mean every 2 wheeled rider is the same, personally having been injured on more than one occasion whilst riding by uninsured car drivers I think differently. Some do apologise with words akin to “sorry didn’t see you” despite having bright coloured gear and headlight on. Others just drive off, what does that say. Damage on these times amounted to thousands of pounds and hospitalisation, I was lucky surviving some loose their lives. Those that weren’t insured didn’t even get prosecuted, an appreciation of what it’s like to be on 2 wheels by car drivers should be a good place to start. Have a safe day.
@honestchris74725 ай бұрын
@@paulroberts9239 So, basically what you are saying is that I am angry because of my experience that cost me money, well, you are correct, if that cyclist had been showing something that would have identified him when he rode away, that would have given me a way to have my money reimbursed, do you not think that I should have that right? and I did not say that every two wheeled rider was the same any more that a cyclist would say that every car driver is the same. What surprises me is that you personally have been injured more than once by an uninsured car driver, yet you think that it is wrong for the police to stop drivers to check that they are insured or at least legally entitled to be driving those cars, if the police had stopped those drivers that injured you and took the cars off of the road before they injured you, you would not have been injured, I fail to see how you would not support the police for doing their duty. There is one thing that you really did have in your favour that the car driver does not have and that is because they carry registration plates, they can be identified, that was entirely different when it is the cyclist that causes the damage. Many years ago, my wife was pregnant and on her way to work, a cyclist on the pavement rode into her, she was knocked onto the ground and so was the cyclist, he got up, got on his bike and rode away never to be found even though I really tried. Luckily, she was OK after a visit to Basingstoke hospital and my son is over 40 years old now. This sort of thing happens all of the time, accident are caused by cyclists riding through red lights causing drivers to take avoiding action. But this is about the police checking that a motorcyclist was legally on the road because he had previously broken the road law, what is so wrong on checking that he is legal, that is what we pay the police to do.

125 engines actually perform better with the baffle anyway. They are too small to benefit from high airflow exhausts and when ppl run small single cylinders with these big 51mm exhaust and take the baffle out, it actually kills the low & mid RPM torque and also reduces MPG so you end up using more fuel to go slower - all bark and no bite. The best performance exhaust is gonna be only slightly less restrictive than stock, we're talking like a couple mm bigger and thats it. Unfortunately there is hardly any information online about exhaust tuning for small cc 4 strokes so most people just assume that bigger exhaust, no baffle = more power and end up making their shit run worse, its a bit sad in a way

"I seen you holding back and was thinking hmmm, why is that motorbike not willing to go past me? And then you came past me" That's not exactly a good reason for pulling someone over, people riding motorbikes are not obligated to pass you and it's not suspicious! Probably just on a power trip and because he is a young rider he's taking advantage of that fact and trying to get him on something. Next time a Police Officer asks you where you're going, and if you have done nothing wrong and they don't suspect you of commiting an offense then tell them politely "That's my business" 👍 You really should make a complaint to the acting Sergeant at your local Police station and show them the footage of him pulling you over all the time. There is pulling you over with good reason and then there is harrassment.

If the object of the stop was to fulfil a quota of stops for the day to obtain names and addresses, then surely that's harrassment, in of itself. I have to say, your bike doesn't sound too loud. It seemed a weird thing to check.

What has the traffic got in his pockets that are so important, that he needs to hold onto them permanently?

It’s an old fart I don’t have a bike anymore but had plenty on my time (mostly GSXR’s). I live in a city centre apartment and there are nikes and cars with illegally loud exhausts using the city streets as a racetrack pretty much 24/7. Every 5-10 minutes someone ragging something past the apartment block. In the winter it’s not a problem but in the summer, when most are out and about, it’s nigh on impossible to get a decent nights sleep.

First and formost. Why the hell did you stop on them ZIG ZAGS? why was he worried about a baffle. no law says you have to have one! Your bike was not loud! whether you pulled over to let them past, You should never stop on ZIG ZAGS. Just remember in future. Stay safe.👍

Being polite is the best way forward always, well done for being you. The ZigZag lines are an issue. Always pull over where it is safe to do so even if you are being covered by a police car. More knowledge better rider. You should go for a job in the police. 👌

Stopping on zig zags is an endorsable offence, the copper should have known better.
@madb1324 ай бұрын
Funny thing is, what ever the coppers tried , it would be thrown out because the copper was breaking the law by stopping on a pedestrian crossing. You can not break the law to enforce the law. 🤣

@@madb132 The right thing to do would be to all move down a bit then deal with the spot check. The copper is in the wrong here.
