When he threatened family members why wasn’t the police called and they could have taken him to lock up or to the juvenile home where he gets extra help, counseling etc. that’s what happens here. My aunt voluntarily put my cousin in the juvenile home when he started acting out in either 9th or 10th grade, and he’s 30 now, married to a very nice young lady, he’s driven, loves to help others and now he works in Real Estate. Stop failing these kids, so they can be decent. People often thought my kids would be bad, just nothing, because I was an only child. They didn’t think that I actually wanted my twins, loved them and wanted them to succeed in life. Now they are both 20, work, and take college classes. I saw traits in my daughter from a young age 7 and got her counseling. She turned out way different from what I expected. She’s actually more responsible and more of a go getter than her twin brother. I have always worked full time or more than one job, but I still paid attention to my kids and noticed her issues. I got her help way back then before she even hit 10 years old now I have no worries with her. My son is the same as back then humble, quiet always laughing, and he plays those bad video games. That’s why I don don’t like that stereotype about video games. My son doesn’t even raise his voice. A video game doesn’t dictate if you’re going to get a rifle, gun or whatever anything can be turned into a weapon and k*ll innocent for no reason.

She didn't stick around to make sure they found it and give her info, which I don't blame her for, but hopefully she will see that they are trying to find her and feel it's safe to come forward now. An AR-15-style rifle is any lightweight semi-automatic rifle based on the Colt AR-15 design. The original ArmaLite AR-15 is a scaled-down derivative of Eugene Stoner's ArmaLite AR-10 design. The then Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corporation division ArmaLite sold the patent and trademarks to Colt's Manufacturing Company in 1959. After most of Colt's patents for the Colt AR-15 expired in 1977, many firearm manufacturers began to produce copies of the Colt AR-15 under various names. While the patents expired, Colt retained the trademark of the AR-15 and is the sole manufacturer able to label their firearms as AR-15.[1] The "AR" in Colt AR-15 stands for "ArmaLite Rifle", not "assault rifle".[2][3]

@DD-zm1uu2 жыл бұрын
Scapegoat?? Under duress?? How exactly did you come to this far-fetched conclusion? Clearly, you know nothing about how an investigation works, and instead, jump to an idiotic storyline. That is NOT why they are looking for this witness. They don’t need a scapegoat, and the witness is NOT UNDER DURESS, as they have yet to be interviewed. Look up the meaning of duress. They probably know more than they are letting on, but because this suspect has rights, and will likely hire a slick attorney, the police are gathering ALL OF THE EVIDENCE in order to convict the suspect. Stop vilifying police officers.

Unbelievable: Attempting to kill himself and threatening to kill his family members should be in a police record; his parents had failed parenting him when he showed a first sign of self-destruction; and this 21-year-old, jobless ticking time bomb was allowed to buy, not just one, five firearms. He had wicked mind, not mentally disable, so he deserves the capital punishment. Since Illinois abolished the death penalty in 2011, he should serve life without parole for the unforgivable act. Such a waste of life! My heart and prayers go out to the victims and their families.

@@binhminh417 Correct. He travelled to Wisconsin afterwards and was considering shooting people in Madison. If he had done that, this would almost guarantee he goes to Federal prison. Federal prison executions don't happen as frequently as states like Texas and Florida. This being a young kid, he would be in there for over 30 years before they execute him, sometimes longer. But at least he would be on death row knowing any day could be the day. They take him out.
