Police/Sheriff lock the doors at the Church of God in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada

This afternoon the doors of our building were locked by court order for violating public health orders relating to the pandemic, specifically meeting in violation of the mandates that limited churches to 10 persons in attendance in Ontario Canada.
UPDATE: doors were finally unlocked in late September 2021 and the Church was forced to pay a $274,515 fine.

The police and partners to the police are just doing what is ordered by the judge for them to do. They have no control in the decision and have to do as told even if they don't like it. You can that some of the officers were a bit uncomfortable but they have to enforce what they are told to do.

I think if they HAD to do it they should have waited till when there was no one there. I still dont like it or agree with it but my comment was just that it looked like the police were trying to be as respectful as they could. I am guessing these orders came from their superiors. Some officers may not have even been thrilled with doing this task. And the congregation was very respectful and compliant - not liking it I am sure, but not being disruptive. I wonder if they had a forewarning that that was the day they had to get closed down. Tbey sort of seemed like they were maybe expecting it. Those were sad days early on. Glad churches are opend up. The judge, Justice Bruce Thomas, is a judge in insurance litigation, this is what and why the government and health Canada are doing this, using judges who have zero experience or expertise in these areas of law to get warrants, it’s also happening in Alberta too, because judges who do specifically specialize in areas such as constitutional law have all opposed and declined health order warrants, because they’re unconstitutional I believe this judge should be reported by the defence to the BAR, the law is separated into multiple categories for a reason, a judge in insurance law has no place or right to sign a warrant outside the scope of his area of expertise, and outside of this plandemic wouldn’t be allowed to,

Yes...absolutely pray for this pastor. Pray that his eyes will be opened and that he will become a better leader of his flock. He made a mockery of the Bible from which he preaches. Public gatherings were not allowed for justifiable reasons. There was absolutely nothing oppressive about the order. And the Bible CLEARLY says in Romans that we are to submit to the authorities. This pastor is not obeying his own God.
