I’m profoundly hard of hearing and sometimes I don’t hear the siren until they are right next me. I see them in my mirrors but not until they are close enough. He very well may have just thought it was for somebody else, or felt like he needed to be at his house in order to have someone help communicate. Not only was he deaf, he was probably mute because of inability to learn how to talk. I don’t care if he made them wait. Unless it was a high speed chase and he waved a gun at them, they have no excuse.

We investigated ourselves and found that had the victim not been deaf , he would have heard our siren and stopped immediatly and our officer wouldn't have been pissed off , forcing him to take deadly action !
