@stazzaproductions these are not ‘dummy’ weapons. 100% real, operational firearms. For this demo they have swapped out the live bolts for a ‘blue bolt’ which you can see through the ejection opening. They are the training bolts used for ‘Simmunition’ (or UTM depending on what training rounds this force uses, both are widely used throughout UK police). The bolts are then swapped back for live fire.

Every UK police force buys their own guns. That's why pretty much every UK police force uses different firearms. They typically buy off the secondary civilian market in Europe (as 99% of UK police guns are semi automatic only) via an AFD in the UK. It's going to depend what the senior firearms commander likes and cost. Added to that a gun can be in service 25+ years.

Added to that given that the British Army now uses Glock that may encourage some British forces to buy Glocks. However modern Handguns will last decades and decades and there isn't much of a difference between the glock and SFP9 platform in functionality so I doubt many will switch if they don't have to. Although if they get a great deal on the civilian market the small number of guns bought by a police force may through up so additional unnecessary buying for contingency reasons.

Im glad the policers have been given a much improved setup But at the end of the day these officers should be shipped off to do range drills & continuation training with specialists units SBS or SAS or at minimum placed on a variant of our ISTC-SOF's As in thier current operational state, would you trust them in a stronghold assault.. We expect a lot from these individuals, the home office should give them the very best training we have on offer, to carry out thier duty to the very best of thier ability's. Anything less is a disservice.

‘Single’ is Semi-auto. The safety catch goes from ‘Safe’ to ‘Fire’, that’s it. Yes, they are semi-auto only. I would counter your ‘what’s the point’ with what’s the point in fully automatic for this job? You’ll surely know every small arms shoot in the army is carried out with semi-auto fire, despite there being an automatic setting. That is designed for use in trenches or similar, very close with multiple enemies - and is almost NEVER used even by the army. Armed Police are very well trained in general, although the ARV shown here slightly less so than other police units such as CTSFO; who are interoperable with, train and operate alongside SAS & SBS.

Why is the front and rear sights still attached to the gun when you have put a Holo sight on (I assume EOTECH) - Front and Rear sights should be removed.
@jubear14933 ай бұрын
Grips are down to personal choice, in this case they are foldable. Recoil mitigation comes down to who might be firing the weapon and again their personal choice of how they deal with any recoil. The HK's sight is mounted fairly well i'd say, in order to be compatible with the users line of sight when resting there face on the stock. Was there a cheek weld on the stock, the mount would need to be higher. The Eotech sights are the weapons primary sight, but it's ALWAYS prudent to have a backup should they fail, hence the foldable back-up iron sights.

@@Liam1991 MP5 has mostly been retired. GMP used to use them I’m pretty sure they have the G36C now. It chops and changes with different forces. I believe there’s a few out there with HK416 in their arsenal too.

@@SteRobboTroublesome8 yh, when I've been going on holiday from Gatwick, I've seen armed police a few times. They seem to patrol in groups of 2. One would have a G36C and another with an AR15. I'm guessing it's a HK416

@@dedeferreira98 there are plenty enough armed officers to deal with the amount of firearms offences in the UK. Most officers carry less lethal options which for most of the policing in the UK is adequate.
@dedeferreira983 ай бұрын
@@SteRobboTroublesome8 well my country is the 4rd safest in the world and every officer has a gun even tho guns are very rare, they are not the only lethal weapons around. You cannot say its adequate when they cant even control knife crime and when there are videos of Police Officers running away from a Chainsaw in the uk.. An officer cant guess who or what he is gonna face on a daily basis. You cannot guess who is coming inside a car and they might have a gun or any other lethal tools. Having Cops that needs to Run away and hide because they dont have the tools to protect you is very bad. There is a reason why no country likes the way British police works. Im sorry but unarmed policing is just ridículous. no offense to the officers themselves

@@dedeferreira98you are a bit clueless. It's decades since UK armed police was just a small group of dedicated teams. I live in a quite rural area and the whole of my local traffic/road policing unit is routinely armed open carry .

@@deanmarsh1452 not really If I acquired a working 1911 from say 1917 it would be section 5 BUT if I got it on section 7.1 (if I am correct that's own and displayed only NO firing) the other 7.3 (again IF I'm recall correctly) is they can be fired but must be stored at an approved club and only I can use it. And even then I'm not 100% sure how correct that is as our firearms laws are more complicated than string theory!

Absolutely no law saying you can't handle section 5 firearms if with an authorised person, people seem to think that you can't for some reason.
@Mike-ww3bq3 ай бұрын
mate honestly what is your issue with it? legally its perfectly fine, but even just logically, the gun is unloaded and cleared by the cops, and more likely not even functional if they're letting the public touch them (with the firing pin/gas system removed, or perhaps modified to only cycle training/simunition rounds). and there are armed police right there... is your reasoning here based on misinterpreting the law and assuming its illegal to let civilians touch a restricted firearm they cant legally own, or are you giving an opinion that they shouldn't be trusted to handle these guns regardless of the law?
