Well....is policing monotonous? Yeah...but it depends... Policing games would require a near perfect AI. Or unreal scprited events, with thousand of hours of events scripted. So....if "basic monotonous policing" is what they were going for then yeah, they nailed it. I haven't played it though so...can't really say how real the monotony is.

This is me personally; I have not purchased any game in the last 4 years, let alone any new titles, and I avoid Early Access like the plague. except for those that bundle everything for a reasonable price, and those games are a couple of years old. Because I am tired of dealing with a game that was broken on launch day, not to mention multiple DLCs that feel like they were cut from the game and you're not getting a full game because of that. Back in my day, they were called expansion packs, and they gave you a lot for what you paid for. Things that I would call an update to fix missing content in a game back then are now called DLC, which you have to pay for. The game you reviewed is the reason why I don't buy new games after they come out. I will wait one, two, or three years before ever considering it. I want to pay for a working product, not a broken one.

I'm generally the same, though I don't mind buying an early access game that provides me with something I cannot get in any other game. Ready or Not is probably the best example, because even though it's not finished it's hands down one of the most immersive coop experiences I've had in a game. I usually know what I'm getting myself into, though, and steam refunds are always there if the game is just too terrible lol

​@@scavmerchanthub Indeed, I guess it's just a question of what you can tolerate. and for me, it is just too much. The great thing is that computers have come a long way, and there are now many games available that I could not play when I was younger, especially on consoles. Finding the cartridge or CD, for example, was difficult due to one of them being region-locked or being out of stock. Now you can just pop it in any emulator and enjoy an almost bug-free game in comparison to Modern Standard. The point I am making is that despite the graphics, games back then worked as intended, not like this current unoptimized mess that takes between 50 and 100 gigs to install with maybe 10 hours of gameplay. Of course, they would be an exception. like the one you mention, but there are really a lot of piles of shite out there. and people are consuming it with "thank you" and "give me more." But that is my rant. Keep up what you are doing.

Another fine example of gaming in 2022 but this isn't a AAA title from a huge developer. So many games now a days are ''Live Service'' titles which gives developers an excuse to release unfinished games. At least this game doesn't have loot boxes and loads of shady practices like that which are just anti-gamers/anti-consumer etc. On another note deez nuts and Among US VR review next please👌

Early access isn't a problem, releasing incomplete game as complete game at full price is the problem. And that would happen with and without early access.
