The Cop Killer song was referring to his anger over police brutality, it wasn't a call to arms against everyone who wears a badge. Ice T would never have felt inspired to write that song if all cops, or at least all the cops that he'd ever come across up until that point, were like the one he plays on television.

what i think is amazin about ice-t is the way he talks. so many "educated" americans when they get interviewed speak with so many "uuuhm" and interrupt their speeches with this artificial kind of stuttering a lot of americans do. a lot of american might not notice but me as a german i can say i only see that on americans. And this guy here who actually is from the streets speaks so well thought and sovereign. This dude is really greater than we might think!!!

I'm so glad they allowed him to be who he is from the show. As he said, playing the whole, "My parents were activists, and I couldn't make it as a lawyer," would've sucked for his character.
