YES! a LOT of actual incidents did not get any news coverage. the media generally just presented easily to dismiss cases such as the ones you mentioned as well as backwards masking, etc. from 1987 - 1990 i was a juvenile officer in tennessee. we had to have x-number of hours every year as training on various topics which would make us more aware of what youth state wide were involved with. we never found any evidence of a state wide or a nation wide cult in operation, but there were many small, self styled satanic groups across the state in various counties. there was no evidence of human sacrifice , but there were many cases of animal mutilations in conjunction with satanic graffiti. this was long before the internet so the groups were more isolated and without contact pertaining to the other various groups.
