Thanks for this video of the "Gates of Canada." I was unaware of such a notable landmark in London. Victoria, Canada, named after Queen Victoria, is the capital city of British Columbia, located on Vancouver Island. Vancouver is the principal city on the mainland. Princess Anne visited us not long ago. I want to express my well wishes for her complete recovery from her injury. She is a great horsewoman, and it was an unusual injury. Thank you for your tours, especially from the 'horse guards' view. 😶🌫☺

14:25 I wonder if that Sikh ‘soldier’ would wear a helmet for protection, whilst under battle conditions? If so, then he should wear a bearskin whilst on ceremonial duties. Otherwise choose a different regiment.
@glenmiller2726 ай бұрын
On the contrary, Sikhs have been incorporated into the British army for over 120 years, they have never wore helmets, as can be seen in pictures from the likes of monte cassino during ww2 etc, they were and are some of the most fearless fighters around..

Big Ben. The tower is refered to as Big Ben and the Bell is Big Ben. So were looking at Big Ben, Big Ben?
@TheKingsGuardsChannel6 ай бұрын
It was renamed Elizabeth Tower in 2012 to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II 🇬🇧
@william66826 ай бұрын
@@TheKingsGuardsChannel The tower has had various names i.e The ClockTower, St. Stephen's Tower, The East Tower and, for some reason, 'Big Ben'. Note that four of the names correctly identify it as a tower. Big Ben is the clock inside the tower and is named after Sir Benjamin Hall who oversaw it's installation. Because calling the tower Big Ben is in common use doesn't make it correct, it's just misleading.
