The other is the quiet assassin loyal to the Brotherhood who you switch to to kill your targets and do the "dirty work." The whole game is about building your Brotherhood criminal empire in London while trying to take down Wilde.

The beggars guild keeps the orphans away from the streets and gives them a proper education. And if someone would do a violent, unauthorised robbery, well, no need to bother the Watch, just cut a hole in the river and in they go. Stealing is one thing, but no honourable thief would ever let their taxes unpaid!

Remember that each chain link had to be made by hand these days. Chain links made by acceptable standards of those days couldn't be broken and would take a week to file down. But I bet 1/3000 of them weren't even made to the standards of those days. He wasn't consistently breaking his own chainlinkss, just that one incident which leaves me to believe one of the links was made on someone's bad day.

I've noticed that the great thieves of history were usually skilled craftsmen and tradesmen before they became criminals. And often, it's less the skill itself and more the committment to learning skills that makes them dangerous. Until they ultimately are brought low by someone's inability to delay gratification. Hearing about Wild reminds me of the case of Deacon Brodie, a 16th century Edinburgh councillor and cabinet maker who was also a housebreaker (using his skills and access to rob his customers). According to some stories he helped to design Edinburgh's gallows, only to end up being hanged on them.

Why aren't there movies about Jack Sheppard? I mean, his entire story plays like that of an archetypical action hero- the script writers don't even have to exaggerate!
