Please feel free to share comments on what you've learned, what you'd like to learn, and constructice criticism. I'm planning on making an updated set for next year, so any input about how to make these better is appreciated!

this was SUPER helpful. For those who cant understand people to talk fast. Put the video on .75 playback speed it made it so much easier to understand.

Personally, I think you are underselling this topic when you give the reason you are making the video. Policy debate should be known by every American at a fundamental level because it dictates our life through laws made by law makers. Sometimes those laws made are damaging to everyday lives and people are in aware. Secondly, the reason I am watching this video is because it relevancy in my child custody case. I have to make a clear, accurate, relevant and sufficient case and speak similar language as in formatting. I came here to make sure I understand the fundamentals of what I am trying to accomplish. This is a super underrated skill in life that can make such a big difference in people’s everyday quality and possibly quantity of life. I appreciate this video/ lesson very much, thank you.

Really great video. I already knew most of this because you know, the debate class it self in school but I think someone with no understanding whatsoever would benefit from your videos. I'm pretty sure I couldn't make a video any better than you - so I can't really provide any good constructive criticism. Awesome job w/ your competitions and stuff, I hope the tournaments really are as fun as EVERYONE in Debate is telling me.

In policy debate, do ya have to spread?
@marymorrison8247 жыл бұрын
Rhea Roy This is VERY late so you probably have the answer. But no, unless you debate DCI then you don't have to worry about it.

Mary Morrison wha does "spread" mean in a debate setting?
@marymorrison8247 жыл бұрын
FOX HOUND Spreading is talking as fast as humanly possible. It's kind of like talking like an auctioneer. Hopefully that makes sense. It's for really advanced debaters.

Great and helpful, but I wish you would have avoided profanity use, so I could show this to my class :( Great vid anyway!

What word was used (you can censor it, like "d*mn") and what time was it used? I'm a debate coach hoping to use this for my class as well.

stop wasting time with the excess information and fluff, other than that this was somewhat helpful.

please stop talking so much. no offense, but we don't really care about your background we're here to enrich our knowledge about cx not about where you went to college.

Srsly? No gendered language? That's just stupid...BTW the word "guys" is "gendered" if the third person group you are referring to is all male, but it can be used to refer to a mixed group as well which removes the "gender part". We all have a gender, we don't be ashamed of it!
