Thanks.. This is such a beautiful song. Can really appreciate the song at a different level with the lyrics shown alongside. Lovely graphic as well. Glad you went with the original recording; Aida's voice is amazing - but the music and melody comes through much stronger in this original version.

@RussianSongsTranslated8 жыл бұрын
+Mitcy Dupres Thank you. I agree that Aida sounds better in this song, but the stuff I do (as I see it) is about songs (lyrics mainly, though I try to keep it close to the melody), and not the vocals. So I decided to choose Polina's version - she's the author. Polina made the song beautiful, Aida made it famous.

If it's in Russian, why does it rhyme in English.... Not trolling or anything just really amazed
@RussianSongsTranslated8 жыл бұрын
Cause I think that rhymes should be translated in rhymes, in ideal the translation should match the original rhyme size ( rhythm). It helps the one who reads it appreciate the original as it was implied by its authors.

@RussianSongsTranslated8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and commenting. The idea was to translate it (not to write a song) so you could decide whether you like the song (not only the music) and get the message of the song. And it's easier to get it through the poetic form, that's all. If you don't speak russian it mustn't put you out. Just read it as a poem along with the music. I don't think it's possible to translate it using the original rhyme's size.

+NiC DeL-Villa Thank you. There is no line about "we're the pieces of a whole" in russian, all the rest is pretty much a word-to-word translation. Later I'd changed it for "bring my pieces to a whole" (in the description) which is more about what she sings, but I'm too lazy to re-upload the video)))).
