In Poland these roads are not called Autobahn like in Germany. These are called Autostrada. That name comes from Italian (auto = car, strada = road), as Italians were the first to build such a motorway, an Italian A8, which connected Milan to Lake Como. It was the first dual highway in the world and it opened in 1924... Then Germans started building these roads, and then Americans copied Germans (though in a different way). Polish A-class roads are of the same class as Autobahns, and it is possible to drive at extremely high speeds on some sections fairly safe (depending on traffic). Having said that, the national speed limit in Poland is 140 km/h.

Of course the bundle of cash was thick. ATMs in Poland are usually used to take out some small amounts to hae some change, since almost everything here is paid either via card, NFC phone/watch payments or with other cashless means. I barely use any cash in my daily life at all, it's extremely oldfashioned and out dated to use cash here.

@@darek4488 it's more a matter of being aware of the general situation. Sure, Greece is an extreme example of exponential debt growth, but right here, right now Poland is not anywhere near that point. At this moment there is no reason not to use electronic means of payment only.

@@darek4488 Congratulations on your transition to cash. I wish you all the best with your next big transition. A transition into an analogue world without Internet and other means of tracking your activity 😂But seriously, cash is disgusting, you don't need to use it in Poland. That's a fact. Unless, you are conducting shady transactions, you have nothing to worry about in a digital world. As about your stack of bank notes... Well you don't own them anyway, and their value is not determined by you or anyone you know personally. This is property of a Central Bank. And that is owned, by, well... An agreement between a state and a very influential family who has been in control of the world's money supply for more than two centuries. In fact, you don't get to own permanently anything you buy... Either in your pocket or in the bank account, it's not yours forever anyway. Ask any Venezuelan what they think about cash.
