Were in the world You learned history?! British and French abondened Poland after Germany invaded. And yes 17 day later Russia stabbed us in the back. Secret pact was named Ribbentrop - Molotow but infact it was Hitler - Stalin pact about devinding Poland into 2 parts. We lost the war and were essentially enslaved by Russian for 50 years! Everything you heard in this video is correct and sadly true.

Dude, I don't know what story you were taught in New Zealand, but it is not entirely true. As you yourself noticed at the end, England, France and the USA turned against Poland because they had such a deal with Stalin. After the war, England, France and the western part of Germany had the means to begin to distort history and change it their own way. Poland behind the "Iron Curtain" under the foot of the Soviets had no way to defend itself against distorting history. The man who tells it in the film is a historian by training and has access to various documents and knows what he is saying. The fact that you do not know that England and France had a duty to help Poland is precisely teaching in schools under the supervision of the "Queen" (England), where they do not want the world to know what really happened. Much earlier and faster, everything would end if other states wanted to fulfill their promise or help at all when they were informed but did not want to, which resulted in millions more deaths.

Wojtek is telling the truth Poland lost the war only in 1989 we really regained our freedom. We would not have a grudge against Great Britain and France if it were not for the fact that we were promised they would help us. You can make your own video about New Zealand, I love to hear it. Since when has Nowa Zeladia and Austalia been in Europe? Wojtek speaks clearly in Europe, not in the world.

Man, you got some facts right, but with some others you are very wrong. Yes, Russia attacked us on September 17th, 17 days after the Germans. Britain and France signed a pact with us about military help in case of a war with Germany. Yes, Britain declared a war with Germany (and also did few airdrops of weapons in Poland), but other than that they did nothing and hence broke the pact they have signed. BTW, many historians agree, that if Britain and France would honor the pact then and attack Germany from the west, the Allies would win then and there and avoid much of the tragedy of WW2. Poland was on the side of the Allies, so technically we won the war. But at the peace negotiations Allies sold us out to Stalin and as a result Poland was de facto under USSR control for the next 44 years after the war - that's why it's not uncommon in Poland to say that we in fact lost the war. You may not like his style, but Wojtek from "Historia bez cenzury" is speaking facts. Oh, and in no point he said that Poland won the war by itself... I really don't know where did you get that from.

it's clear that you missed a lot of facts learning about WW II. Our minister Beck said those words about honor in 1936, so we Polish ppl were first to say no to German. France and Britain left us, they didn't fulfill their promises about helping us on time through so many days after the war started on 1st September 1939. they declared the war to German but hey, weren't a match for them and behaved like those ostriches most of the time. Btw Britain was free because of Polish pilots who played the most important role in kicking Hitler's ass during Britain Invasion but the British ppl trying to minimize our Polish fighters role. Russians invade Poland on 17th September, Wojtek Drewniak said a fact. Until this time our allies didn't help us in fight tbh

But they did turn up and help right? If they had not turned up at all Poland would be only memory. Gotta give them credit because in the end Poland WAS saved by the British and French. they arrived at the perfect time....a couple more days and the Nazis would have conquered Poland

@@HoodRokEnt but Poland WAS ''conquered'' by Germans and Russians and the promised help from French and Brits never showed up. and Poland was "conquered' until 1989. It was on a map after 1945 but it only was a "red state" at the time so basically a Russian puppet.

Before World War II, Great Britain and France concluded treaties on joint aid in the event of war with Poland. Both of these countries have not complied with their agreements. Shame. We Poles know that the current situation in Ukraine is very dangerous, let there be no repeat of history. Ukraine will bleed out, we will help and other European countries will only watch. That's interesting how many differences are where it comes to teach a history at school in every country. I think you know a lot about history of ww2 including the whole world and Europe. On the other hand in Poland we are learning a bit about that, and a lot about what was happening here because that's our hood. I know a lot about Poland and just a little bit about the other countries during ww2 from school so I need to learn about this by myself, I don't even know any single fact about New Zealand history. I think guy from video knows that Poland didn't win the war individual and there was a lot to do for GB to do with nazis so your opinion that he is talking bullshit might be not correct but it may seem that this guy from video though like that. All of Poles know that the German was beaten by many countries. There was a time when we were totally destroyed by Germans and our "army" (army of all poles who wanted to fight for the country) was living in cannals of Warsaw or in the forest so we know that we won't be able to beat nazis and end up the war.

Wasn't new Zealand independence after the war? I understand they would be involved as a colony of Britain or something to that effect, but weren't the movements directed from London? Honestly I don't know, I'm curious about this. I honestly would like to find a breakdown which colonies of Britain fought where. Like a map or animation or something. I heard there were Canadians and I think Indians in France after D-day? But that's the limit of my knowledge.

To say that because the British entered the war and because of it we are free is total nonsense. The Germans would have attacked France anyway, which was in alliance with the UK, but first the Germans wanted to destroy Poland so as not to fight on two fronts.

I know about NZ soldiers in Gallipoli - but it was during FIRST war, not second. The first mistake of England/France was that they allowed Hitler to take Czechoslovakia in 1938 with many good factories of tanks. Thats why Hitler has so many tanks in 1939.

You can argue what happened during WW2 on Polish soil. But OK.... we won't forget it. But even tho the most important thing right now is that we All as Nations come together and work together. WW2 was a thing - everybody sees it different way. Let's just don't allow to happen it again and live close together. And I'm saying this as a Pole. I will never convice you that this actually happened so it's useless. Let's just live peacfully from now.
