Will it crack? Will multiplex be better for a dinner table you think?

This looks great Matthieu! How hard is the surface? Would this hold up in a garage or workshop as a countertop to light/medium abuse?
@MatthieuLibeert2 жыл бұрын
yes should work normally I guess, they use it as well to coat floors with. In case you would have scratches after a while you could lightly sand the clear and recoat I guess. Epoxy might be an option as well

That looks cool! I've been looking at the idea of making concrete counter tops for my kitchen. But the idea of putting many many Kg's of weight in there doesn't appeal. This however looks a lot better with a lot less hassle involved. Do you think this would hold up to counter top 'abuse'? Or is it totally food toxic and would leach chemicals into any food placed upon it?

This technique is being used for kitchen tops and outdoor kitchens... But you'll might to inform you with a supplier just to be safe

Mooi! Na de douche, ook een badkamer meubel gemaakt met Mortex. Leuk materiaal om mee te werken (wel wat prijzig).

Kan je dit ook doen met een lichte kleur, zoals beige?

Was this an MDF panel upon which you were applying the product?
@MatthieuLibeert2 жыл бұрын

Hi Matthieu, i have a question, I am applying west system epoxy to a wooden table and i cant get a good finish (a lot of holes in the finish) am i doing something wrong or is west system not soo good for tabletop finishes and i should use glasscast instead?
@MatthieuLibeert2 жыл бұрын
It's in the nature of wood to suck up the resin so might be that... can't really tell about west system being better or less good than glasscast as I only use glasscast...
