Good video with nice collaboration. Now you know! I did tell you the difference between the Flex pxe 80 mini polisher and the Chinese counterpart. The difference is so vast. A world of difference, as you well now know. I'm just a lay person who likes to keep my car clean. I'm not actually a tool person but the difference in quality is night and day . The Pxe while more expensive is silky smooth, robust and a joy to use. And without a shadow of doubt is inherently made better and designed to last. I also bought the Chinese rubbish but it snapped after 2 weeks. The spindle exploded. A huge £175 mistake.

DW 2012..That more aggressive strategy working at less than max capacity will give better results..flogging that least aggressive compound above it's max performance, I prefer less speed more contact time. Thx Kelly.

The speed with the arm movement with the machine polisher is this correct way to do with a larger orbit
@TheDetailingSpace
@TheDetailingSpace 6 ай бұрын
A lot of factors come in to play. Pad and polish combo, speed of the machine, weight, and applied pressure etc... Also, it depends if your cutting or finishing etc

Great video. There's alot of counter intuitive stuff involved in paint correction as there is in washing cars. The zero bucket method of washing cars or one bucket washing with alot of mitts, most people still use the two bucket method but it's actually less safe and less efficient as it's self contaminating. Don't be afraid of wool, microfibre or heck even rayon or a surbuf and even a rotary. what liquid you use, the working area size, how clean you keep the pad and the machine speed massively determines how aggressive you are. Even a Jewelling polish with a deburred wool can be used and the finish is superb despite far less cut, it keeps the wool fibres moist so they keep working not dry and clumped. In the near future there will be far less foam pads needed. either one or two maximum for anything you want to do. Not five six or seven different foams, that complicates it too much.

Hello how are you? Excellent youtube channel great videos as always. Hoping you can help me. Just saw this video. But can you explain me if don’t mind. I didn’t understand correctly, you used a microfiber pad with 15mm da orbit polisher and a compound. But can you please tell me because I dont know if I hear correctly you used it at speed 2 in the polisher, low arm speed, little pressure?? Or what was the correct way you used it please?? And also you did 3 or 4 passes?? Thanks in advance happy holidays
@TheDetailingSpace
@TheDetailingSpace 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, Kelly had it down to speed to, due to the nature of MF pads. Arm speeds was average, maybe low, and again for pressure, fairly average. If I remember correctly, he did about 4 passes in a set. But, the main focus is, there is no "one size fitz all"... So what worked on this car may easily burn another car, or then again, may have zero effect on something with rock hard paint. If in doubt, so with slow speeds and light pressure, you can work up from there.
