Polishing a Shaved Engine Bay in a ‘77 MK1 Rabbit!

You all requested more Volkswagen content so, I made it happen! If you watched the last episode on the Corrado, you'll already know that job was unfortunately cut short due to some large paint defects! So, while Blair (the owner) gets the front end repaired on the Corrado, he offered to leave me with his 26k original mile German built 1977 MK1 Rabbit finished in Miami Blue, and a BEAUTIFUL tucked & shaved bay with an ABF swap nestled in right at home.
I'm not going to talk to much about this one, I'd rather let this video do all the talking! Stay tuned for part 2 where I give the exterior of the car a little freshening up 🖤

I had this same year, same color, back in ‘87. Paid $600 bucks for it. I beat the crap out out of it for 3 years and did all the work on it myself. It was a rust bucket with holes in the wheel wells. It’s nice to see a survivor. Brings back memories.

I love this model. I have a brazilian Passat LS 1978 here in Rio/BR and the front of the Rabbit remember a lot my car. The wheels are similar. Very cool this MK1. Congrats for your work.
