Re: cryptocurrency for transactions in Phuket. You're right to point out that Bitcoin is unlikely to achieve even moderate use as a payment method, for a whole host of reasons. However, stablecoins such as USDT, do have the potential to be adopted more broadly, and there has been a notable increase in their transaction volume over the last year or so globally. If the project does see the light of day, I'd suggest the relevant authorities focus on enabling these stablecoins exclusively for transactions.

The gunman was probably seeking refuge with the person who paid him. But, one thing though, as soon as an opposition leader is eliminated, fingers are pointing to someone from the current government. I’d say that there is a small chance that the current government is not responsible for this, but the responsible party is the person or a group of people who would want to cast a dark shadow over the current leadership which has no beef with anyone because, in my opinion, he is the most qualified person to lead the country right now. Peace and prosperity is very precarious. Just look at South Korea where after a coup de tat, tourists are canceling trips there even when most of the country is not affected. On another note, I hope Cambodia would do a campaign on stopping litter and build infrastructure to deal with trash, especially if the country is to have more tourists in the future. In and around Siem Reap, there’s so much trash and car/tuk tuk/motorcycle parking on the sidewalk that would make it much more difficult for tourists to walk around and enjoy the city.

My wife received four or five calls from 191. I could not stand the increasingly strident scam claims re our bank account, money laundering, and freezing our account. I took the phone and said do not call, FBI, pause GOODBYE. That call center stopped calling my wife's cell phone.
