I have not been to church in years. I am considering going to Wednesday night Bible study just to present the evidence that I have seen. Most people are totally ignorant of Islamic teaching. I have seen a map of Northern Africa that showed everywhere Mohamed traveled during his lifetime. It was far beyond Mecca and Medina. It was from the Atlas Mountains to Iran (Persia). From Ethiopia to the Black Sea (Istanbul). His Social, Economic, Political and Religious influence cannot be underestimated. It has financed those areas of the world for 1400 years. I gotta stop here. Except to say that the USA is a target.

www.reddit.com/r/badhistory/comments/1ocyxr/review_why_we_are_afraid_a_1400_year_secret_by_dr/ And in his Crusades vs. Jihad video there is a whole laundry list of stuff that discredits him as someone to listen to on history. Here is a couple. 1. 548 battles of Jihad is used to make it sound like there was tons of jihading. For a period of over 1200 years we're talking less than 0.5 battles per year. This is both nothing, and evidence he's missing tons of battles. 2. He describes jihad: piracy, raiding, slavery, rape. This accurate description of jihad. It is also an accurate description of the Crusades. It is also an accurate description of war in general almost everywhere at all times in human history. But he says it to show that jihad is bad, not that war is hell. This shows a slant. 3. The "We associate Islam with Arabs and Arabs with sand" is third grade level analysis. People migrate, it's the story of history. When nomads unite they tend to conquer, adopt the local culture, and keep going till something stops them. It's how empires work. Not special. 4. I realize that numbering is pretentious, but I'm committed now. 5. Following up to 3: He also never moves on from the whole Arabs thing. Islam was dominated by the Seljuk Turks (a nomadic group that united long enough to conquer nearby settled people blah blah we've seen this movie a million times before) around the crusades and really wasn't any kind of a unified force until the Ottoman Turks showed up. He insists on simplifying the whole thing and continuing to refer to it as Islam. Almost as insulting in it's simplification as referring to Europe as Western Civilization. 6. The most egregious thing he does is ignore the Hungarian Crusades against the Ottomans, which actually support his thesis more than any argument he made in the video. (he also leaves out the Northern Crusades, and I guess the Reconquista never happened). Forget about the legitimacy of the narrative he's pushing. This is bad history. No big deal if you're just a buff talking to friends and enjoy the story. Big problem if you're teaching this to other people and using your physics Phd to add weight to what you're saying. Stuff is missing, stuff is simplified, stuff is somewhat fabricated. There are real historians who believe in clash civilizations. Go follow them. I may not agree with their conclusions, but at least they know what they're talking about (Bernard Lewis for one example, Tom Holland is a popular historian who flirts with the idea if you want more entertaining reads).

simonmabee100 you seem to forget that the prophet mohammed literally supported jihad. on the other hand Jesus literally hated jihad(fighting and waging wars for religion). you can find a lot of verses in the new testament forbidding christians to fight for their religion. islam never forbids muslims to fight for their religion. fighting for your religion is an obligation in islam.

@Conorkc868 жыл бұрын
But the variety I am speaking about is the diverse backgrounds, political opinions and nationalities of guests he has. The fact that they are all reasonable and intelligent goes to show that no one "side" has a monopoly on good opinions. I can't think of a show on KZbin where you would have Milo one day, Larry Elder another and Inna Shevchenko the next. Most shows would find it hard to keep the circle-jerk going if they weren't constantly pulling pundits and interviewee from the regressive left. Dave doesn't do this. George K yeah that worries me very very much as an ex Muslim whose safety depends on people waking up to the barbarity of Islam. I've been reading up on the history of my beliefs, because prior to leaving my ultra conservative form of Islam, Wahabism, I'd been taught by many scholars that the vast majority of Muslims are destined for hell. Now needless to say that gave me a bleak outlook on life, but it got me thinking, since Wahabism is funded by the Saudi government/kingdom and the Saudi clerics being descendants of Mohammed inb abdelwahab it must be politically orientated. And boy oh boy was I shocked when I read about the intricate history of pre Saud Arabia, and how abdelwahab and ibn Saud, the founder of Saudi Arabia, used to accuse all their rivals, who by the way we're all Muslim, of apostasy if they refused to join their ranks. Abdelwahab actually believed that since the bedouins believed in intercession, they could be slaughtered indiscriminately. By the way, this is what ol' Mohammed had been doing, but there is no point in dissing him in front of Muslims, because they lose all reason. So sorry for the long winded history, but I find it fascinating why America gets the majority of their oil from Saudi Arabia and are close allies. I think that this is the reason why terms like Islamophobia were introduced. It was to appease the Saudis, who rely on blind faith by vast swathes of Muslims, to continue existing.

I have a cousin that converted to Islam, because she fell in love with the poetry and of course has dated a couple of Muslim men. I am always supportive of choices that my loved ones make, but I am not afraid to question them either. The more I started reading about Islam, Muhammad, and researching Islamic history, the more I started to worry. Before I knew much about Islam, I used to be an apologist. I have noticed that a lot of people who defend Islam, really don't know much about it's history. What happened on 9/11 wasn't unique to the Muslim world. When I bring up the Ottoman Empire I often get a confused look from people. They didn't know that the Ottoman Empire had slaves, went around conquering other nations, murdering mass numbers of people, and so on. I find it odd that Muslims see this as Islam's golden years. Muhammad was extremely violent, and many ex-Muslims like Mosab Hassan Yosef Son of Hamas has exposed Muhammad's true character. He has talked about growing up reading the Koran and the fact that many Muslims cannot actually read it themselves. There is a lot of versus that inspired terrorist groups like ISIS, Boko Haram, Al Shabab, Hezbollah, and many others. I feel like there is a lot that isn't discussed when it comes to Islam, because of political correctness. When it comes to Judaeo-Christian views being criticized, that is completely okay and considered Free Speech. Why do the rules change when it comes to criticizing Islam?

And Mohammed of course led by example when he raped a 9 year old little girl. - Islam teaches that it is OK for a husband to beat his wife (Surah 4:34) which is evil. - Islam teaches that it is OK to use women captured in war to be used and sold as sex slaves (Surah 33:50) which evil. - Islam teaches that Christians and Jews must be fought until they have been killed (murdered) unless they submit to Islam and agree to be oppressed second class citizens in the own country (Surah 9:29) which is evil. - And the witness of a women is worth only half of that of a man. The EU Referendum is coming up on the 23rd of this month and I urge everyone to vote to leave this facist dictatorship lead by unelected bureaucrats. Immigration is key. Do we really want young fighters from the middle east spreading their doctrine in Britain when the majority of them can't even read in their own language? What do they bring to our civilised mix? Germans and Swedes are learning the hard way and we must close our doors to these fanatic believers of political islam, with a small i. They will never contribute to our society; but only use our welfare state. And our state has these peoples votes.........which is another story. Big big day on the 23rd June.

Also, I love being a European, I have friends on the continent and visa- free travel is something I enjoy immensely. Also, free movement of workers is something I might want to take advantage of in the future. I think I'd ideally like to remain but to properly renegotiate our position in the EU and push for democratic reform of the EU and a downsizing of it, but I know that if the referendum is won the issue will most likely be put to bed for at least a few decades.

The presence of immigrants doesn’t deprive us of our history - and it’s worth remembering that that is a history that includes the Irish famine, the Tanganyika railway, the Boer War concentration camps, and the Amritsar massacre.

Some important points are missed out:1 The Quran is not in the proper order. It has been compiled on basis of length of verses. So the chapters are all jumbled up. The longest chapters are up front and the smaller ones come later.2 The Hadiths were written around 200 years after the death of Prophet Mohammed. They were written to serve as citations for the Sharia (which itself was created around 50 years after the death of the Prophet and was compiled by the Umayyid dynasty, a non Muslim dynasty).

Another great guest who is saying what needs to be said! His part on freedom of speech was key: it is the bedrock of all of our other freedoms. Awesome show. Any way to get Stefan Molyneux?

Heeey this is the guy from Jihad vs Crusades video. And a lot more. Holy shit 6 bookmarks from this guy alone. >.> Have yet to watch a single one. Time to start.

I can't comment on anything else of his, but the Jihad vs Crusades video is full of a lot of bad history.

bullshit… Crusade history is my favourite subject, and I read everything I can on it… and have been for 25 years… Europeans were NOT the aggressors in the Crusades… they came to the aid of fellow Christians… Islam is fucking cancer,, Dr Warner may need to oversimplify for time constraints sake… but theres no deliberately misleading info in that… conjecture maybe.. but nothing deliberate..
@Roma95328 жыл бұрын
It is actually very deliberate you can't over simply the politics of Crusades since there were many Christians states and Muslim states being a player in the region. You can argue that the Crusades are not the aggressors towards the Sultante of Rum, but the Ayyubid, Artuqids and Zengids, the Crusaders were definitely an aggressor, the reason the Ayyubid was formed as after the first Crusade

But didn't Islam spread like imperialism outside of Arabia to other nations in particular then Christian via the sword? See Bill Warner video on 1400 years of Islam and why we are afraid.

Thanks, as always, for the great content and being such a huge proponent of free speech dave. I'm a biologist, medical student, family man, and liber(al)tarian. I watch the show every time you upload. It keeps me sane after spending 16 hours in a pathology text book. #regressiveleft

The easiest way to compare Islam versus Christianity is to study the life and example of Mohammed versus the life and example of Jesus Christ. They are 180 degrees apart.

Really liked listening to Bill's views of Islam, but I wish that he would go more indepth on the parallels with Christianity with more of the same brutal honesty he does with Islam.

Asking an atheist to explain the purpose of existence is like asking grown ups why Santa delivers presents. If you can prove Santa exists, then we can ask the why question. Until that time, all your work is still ahead of you (as Hitch would say). Anyway. Love Bill Warner for his illuminating education on Islam. An incredibly important voice.

Great interviews. There was a time in this country before MSM when we discussed opinions and ideas, not just blindly followed party lines. This show gets back to finding out who people really are, not some politically correct accusation of what they might be! Good luck with your show Dave Rubin.

you are right,Mr.Pat Condell has good understanding about Islam,but he will bash with his words, Islam and the people who are following Islam,in my view that does not serve any purpose,when dealing with Islam ideology,Dr.Bill Warner is the only person on the earth who knows how to deal with Islam,Dr.BillWarner is a cool and composed guy,i never seen a guy like that in my life with that calmness.
