I fully agree with what you said. If you read the history of the Helghast you come to this conclusion. ISA is like the US today... they paint the enemy black and then they paint their ideas as the only ones. This time they try to go with cosmopolitan ideas but in fact cosmopolitanism is like imperialism.

It is a flashback, just before the death of Visari in Killzone III. At 0:31, you can see Radlec killing his Helghans' friends, just like Rico said (Because he wanted to erase proofs of the bomb) Fortunately, even if Visari dies, the Chairman escape in time.

I did have the same doubt about it... then i realized that this is a flashback. It shows that they took that weapon to blame ISA for the destruction on the planet. They launch that bomb on Phyrrus on KZ2. This was capture before that. You can tell for this 0:22 do you see an ISA's emblem? They do it to increase the hate againts ISA. So even with Visari dead, the Helghast would keep fighting.

Yeah but not AFTER WW2. What the hell guys, this is essential history, goddamnit! German Empire -> military nation -> WWI -> Treaty of Versailles -> Hitler becomes chancellor -> WWII -> Germany is split into two -> Soviet Union collapses -> Germany is reunited is that so hard ... o.O

Just a question, but when the ISA basically nuked the entirety of Helghan wasn't anyone else reminded of another certain WW2 event? A love how so many things in Killzone are resembling real life events especially those that had to do with WW2. We even get the berlin wall in killzone shadowfall

ISA never nuked anyone the only thing the ISA ever did was BUILD a next gen nuke(The Red Dust) which was then STOLEN by the Helghast and used by the HELGHAST against their own people to completely destroy Pyrrhus City (Pyrrhus Deep real name) which was the largest city and the Capital of Helghan...... The decimation of the Helghan surface (a event in game know as the Terracide) was actually done by the Helghast themselves Sthal had a ship loaded with obscene amounts of Petrusite to lay waste to Earth... He then armed them when he realized he was never going to get to earth to try and wipe out the last of the ISA defenders in space however his ship crashed to the surface and in turn completely wiped out almost every living thing on it because of the Petrusite... So really the Terracide happend because of the Helghasts own WMD that they unleashed upon themselves.

@chippydip I think that visari was basically hitler, the way the helgast history and just the way they act is like nazi Germany. After WWII Germany was basically broke and the people lived in poverty, then hitler came along as their new minister and led them to be a military nation.

They're bombing their own people and blaming on the ISA, to justify a war. The guy gets shot to minimize the number of people who are aware of what they've actually done. He's a "loose end".

What Pete said but there is a lot more then just bombing them... It's a stolen nuclear weapon which they then added more destructive power to it called Petrusite in Killzone 2 there is 2 Helghast soldiers who talk to each other about 2 men executed by radic for uniform violations the theory is these two soldiers who were shot were the guys who loaded and flew the ship with the nuclear weapon red dust. The Helghast nuked their own capital city to make their people believe that the ISA were not liberators but barbarians at the gate. It really does show how far Visari would go to destroy the ISA.
