I am an immigrant with family who stood in line and came legally. My son was born in USA and we pay all our taxes. He just graduated did an internship at a big well know pharmaceutical company. He was rejected and he did not get hired when he graduated and job was given to a foreign student making close to 100K. My son knew this guy and he was not that smart. This company will sponsor him help in get a green card and claim they could not find a qualified candidate. This a under the table pathway to citizenship. None of his graduating class have found a job yet. This is a total BS and a SCAM being pulled on American People. The H1B is a total SCAM and it’s just tip of iceberg. These workers are not paid less. They are actually paid equally if not more. If people only knew. Merit based or not, skilled or not, we don’t need foreign workers period. @courtneybrubaker9738 First, no it wasn't. If you say it was, please tell what page it's on. Second, that's not even Trump's plan, while you and the media were focused on Project 2025, nobody paid any attention to his actual plan which was from a completely different think tank separate from the Heritage Foundation, his actual plan was written by the America First Policy Foundation and is very different. This has now even been reported by big networks who don't like Trump at all. In fact, this came out just days after the election, which makes me think the media knew this for some time even as they kept reporting on Project 2025.

Bannon is wrong. Social Security is not an entitlement, It's a contract between the Government and its constituents. It is a forfeiture of payment automatically deducted from the citizens salaries, through no choice of their own, with the promise to be repaid at a later date. it's a government debt, and a failure to repay that debt amounts to theft. It has nothing to with discretionary spending or balancing the budget which the government screwed up. Restructure the program make it better, if that's what it takes, so long as the government pays off the dept already incurred. If you want to help fixing Social Security, start by preventing judges from allowing Social Security to be used as security for sanctuary cities.
@RasalilaRose13 күн бұрын
With all due respect, the provision of Social Security is afforded us , I believe, as a social contract between fellow citizens to practice ‘inclusive democracy, rather then an agreement between citizens and their government. I would encourage everyone to go to the free "balance the federal budget" simulators that are available online. It shows the budget can be balanced but requires cuts across the board and revenue to remain constant or increase slightly. Then there are just some commonsense actions like consolidating the Department of Defense's five service branches into a single self-defense force, similar to Israel and Japan, eliminating redundancies and excess General staff that the Heritage Foundation estimates could save at least $90 billion annually.
@AdamBechtol16 күн бұрын
Hadn't thought to combine them, as they might argue their rivalry breeds competitive improvement, but I suspect you're correct. It's a hell of a lot more bureaucracy and redundancy and wastes lots of time and effort to have them all bickering over weapons and systems and funding
@pete3112316 күн бұрын
@@AdamBechtol Here's why $2T in cuts is not hard. In 2020, the government drastically increased the federal budget by $2T and never reduced it since. Roll back the federal budget to the 2019 value of $4.4T combined with the current revenues of $5.0T and you have a surplus of $0.6T to begin paying down the debt. Next, eliminate the wasteful spending throughout the government and save an additional $900B according to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Senator Rand Paul's Festivus Report. That combined with the continuing 0.6T surplus allows paying the national debt down $1.5T each year until it is no longer an existential threat to our national wellbeing.

Politico is ruining this interview with the ineptitude of the sound crew and the sound policies. You keep turning down your guest mic when the interviewer speaks. Then, when the guest starts to speak, his mic level is too low. Then that level gets turned up too high, so much so that there is distortion in their speach. A fuzziness if you will. Too bad you can't just let it be natural instead of having to control it so heavily. You ruin the quality of the interview. Good luck with the debt. If Trump cuts the corporate tax rate to under 20 percent, the deficit will explode. Looking for the exits.

The 4 elections from 2004 - 2016 all had a total of 121-129 million votes between the 2 candidates in each election which is a realistic voting % of eligible and registered voters in the USA. 2020 had 155 million which is magicallly 26 million votes more than the max the past 5 elections and in 2024 is back in line with the average at 129 million again. When 155 out of 163 million registered voters go vote its also impossible since no election ever in the USA has ever had a 96% voter turnout, the average is more like 60% and there were some counties who had more votes than registered voters. Most of those anomaly votes was for Biden and given the margins and the fact that some states and counties opposed being audited with 100’s of lawyers and millions of $ that means they had something to hide….

Entitlements? I remember a lifetime a paychecks that had a separate additional tax of approaching 8% now. That was an addition TAX! Those benefits paid for by that are NOT entitlements.

Is right Citibank is absolutely right about where is the first thing . We need a new mindset we are not the police of the world we're not going to protect places in countries from threats I'd like for example that the Ukraine war. As we pull our soldiers out of Syria and out of Eastern Europe we need a new mindset we cannot be the world's police.!!!!! We don't have to cut spending at the defense department but leave it where it is they need to dump about 40 of those four star generals. Look at modern technology for our weapons I don't think carriers and Abrams battle tanks are the way of the future. I really like some bannon's visions and I'm hoping and praying we can all work together for one for one common cause. Republicans must stick together wile we fix our country.

The lady interviewer, doesn't seemed well informed/educated on the subjects she is bringing up and appears to have an air of superiority. However does well in not interrupting.

Amazing interview and totally shocked that a far left origination had an actual competent reporter such as Dasha -- asking some hard ball questions. Actual direct and over the target. Really surprised here. Bannon is THE MAN no question. Loved it when Dasha's true left wing ideology inserted itself into a few of her questions and in firm classic-Bannon style--Dasha darling was handed her a@@! >>> ".....moving along...."" Loved it!! Steve Bannon and Whitney Web>>> about the ONLY two journalist to lay down the hard FACTS.

I'm a liberal and never liked Steve Bannon, but I have to agree with some of his populist ideas -- that the oligarchs need to give up some $$$ to the working class, who need a break. I don't know if what he is saying about our legal immigration system being broken is true, but I'd like to learn more about it.

Another reason we need adjudications, investigations, etc. is all the time and money wasted on defending against Lawfare brought on Trump, Bannon, Navarro, etc. We don’t want this to be the practice, going forward in politics and elections. Taxpayers don’t want pay the salaries of those who are weaponizing the government and agencies, the DOJ, etc. The Democrats need to remember that they can be on the receiving end of Lawfare, too. This is the best way to look to the future, by protecting our future!

You can’t have capitalism without the rule of law… If one doesn’t respect the law then one cannot regard themselves as a capitalist. Change the law if need be to remove any “ lawfare”

@ The problem is that people within Agencies and the DOJ have not been following the Rule of Law, and have been ignoring Constitutional rights.
