Hey Alan, it’s Alfie from last years class. With politics being very exciting in the last year I’ve been thinking back to our class when your video popped up on the recommended. Wanted to say thanks for being such an amazing teacher both for politics and for life. Thanks for helping me get that A, it’s not gone to waste, currently studying International relations at University of York and getting some very good grades. Thanks for everything

thats great! im in year 12 and i love politics a level so far, but im wondering if you had any tips for revision? :)

@sirMYOMIN Write out a lot of detailed essay plans, using past papers, whilst you are revising because it is active recall and you are learning exam skills at the same time. Probably the single best thing for improving your essays as you can cover a lot of content compared to writing out full essays Also, Print out the Unit information for your exam board and use it to revise as it will tell you exactly what and importantly how you need to learn something eg if you need to explain it or evaluate it. That's probably the best way I've found to revise essay-based subjects. In year 1, I'd focus on taking notes from the textbook a lot on top of doing essay plans.

Do you think they're making the questions easier, especially for US p3? All 2023 papers were the easiest I have seen, but do you think this was a one-off or pointing towards a trend of making the questions a bit nicer?

do you know if the exam board is able to do 2 questions on the same ideology? Thank you!

They have done it once in a sample paper which was basically them indicating that they could do it and not to rule it out. It would be really nasty though so hopefully they won't!
