A culture shock I experienced moving to a wealthy part of Dublin after growing up lower (?) middle class in a rural area. I always thought I was really well off, never had to worry about having enough food to eat, knew I'd have the chance to go to college, got to go abroad sometimes... Then I encountered the upper middle class and upper class when I went to university, many of which don't even realise how well off they are, and for the first time in my life I felt poor in comparison. It's really bizarre.

OR, are they getting payments in other ways? Since Sunak, Patel, Suella and Akon Sharma came into the cabinet, Indian companies have raked in fortunes whilst our economy suffers. Also, in this country, “those at arms legnth”, are also punished if there is a misdemeanour or unjust enrichment in the corporate world. Yet, Sunak believes his wife and the company her father owns are above and beyond reproach and sanctions as it pertains to Infosys and their profiteering from the Ukraine war. I totally agree with you but Sunak is right. We need to pay more tax. I think we should all be paying more TAX to support the government at the moment, they are struggling and need the money. I am personally happy to pay more tax and I only earn 44k.
