The twist of the evil being turned from the drug trade in the book to the government in the film could not have come at a more opportune time than the mid '70's.

I love 3 Days of the Condor... so much so that I found and read the original...but, hated 6 Days of the Condor; it was the screenplay: Lorenzo Semple Jr. & David Rayfiel.
