@@leakbit2437 mainly its value is retained in being held to govern the system, and I believe that eventually most of the tokens will either be held or locked up. That won't be for a while. I believe it can retain a fair amount of value just based on these principles, and DOTs use cases along with it going to be a cornerstone of future web3.

watching this again i equate polkadot to TCP/IP...when i was working in the early days every manufacturer had their own protocol that wouldn't speak to others...IBM..DECNET/PATHWORKS..etc..etc..then the standard was created for all of them to communicate through a common protocol using one standard instead of vendors standards...i believe that is what POLKADOT is doing here and if successful all i can say is BOOM!!

Takes time. Remember an amount of KZbin "influencers" are paid to promote specific projects and show bias. Any decent time in crypto and you will notice this. Don't look at price.....look at development. Price will eventually catch up.

how about building a better ux / ui and a better native wallet, using polkadot.js is a complete mess, super counter-intuitive, you need like a degree in engineering to use it, just make something like a metamask to integrate with a browser and a hardware wallet already....
