This is my current signature fragrance. I’ve always liked it but never chose to actually wear it. This year I was thinking back to figure out what new fragrance I wanted to try. Tried this one to remind myself and it was an INSTANT purchase. I love it so much, it’s an all-time top three for me at least if not number one. It’s literally smells like money, which I realize is a strange thing to say haha! Reeks of class, with a twist of hard work in the outdoors. A billionaire Oil Baron who spends his days working in the oil fields, chops his own wood, and winds down in the evening by reading books by the fireplace in his three-story library while smoking a cigar and having a classy as fuck drink.

I'm so glad you did a review of the original Polo Green! I still wear this fragrance off & on to this day as i went to school in the 80's. I use Creed Green Irish Tweed but still find myself going old school with the polo green & Holston x14. I am Subscribing now look forward to other videos

Great review.... In 2023.... This Fragrance still gets it done.... A solid masculine scent... so many newer fragrances are way too feminine and metrosexual.... Its' disappointing how the trend is so feminine for Men... It's just the industry trying to push the false image of Men.. So in conclusion... Keep on finding Men's scents that really trigger the women into heat... Men appreciate what you do...

Thanks so much, well said. Many men’s fragrances have turned more feminine in the past decade. Too much tonka bean and too sweet. I personally prefer a man’s cologne to smell ultra manly.

I absolutely love this fragrance however the oak moss is no longer listed on the newer bottles, older bottles smell absolutely gorgeous with oak moss listed. . A true gentleman’s fragrance.

this is the first refined+expensive+sophisticate fragrance that I bought when I was 15 years old (1978) with my salary when I was working as a mechanic apprentice in a car garage; my friends (especially the females) were so intrigued, mesmerized and captivated when I wore my Polo cologne that they kept asking me what was that marvellous, and sublime fragrance I was wearing, I never told them.

What a masterpiece of a fragrance, i own it and use it at 20 years old, however the more modern formulas have a little brighter opening with a blast of herbs such as juniper berries and basil, coriander seed and a little citrus. Pine and leather come next and finally the tobacco and amber drydown, the whole fragrance being supported by a woods backbone of cedar and vetiver, slight animalic musk nuances and patchouli earthiness, the oakmoss in modern formulas is pretty tamed down... I have found it to be very nice with a sweater or a tweed jacket, but i personally like it the most when worn to a flannel shirt, jeans and Moc Toe Boots. Greetings, and thanks for your review, lady. Used to last all day. Not now. RL really screwed this one up. Just a warning to everyone. I used this thru out the 80's and 90's. Was a beast and compliment getter. Now is weak and don't even last an hour.

They took out the oak moss which gave it the lasting power..most of these new colonges aren't worth the prices anymore .
