This elegant dance shows all the grace, splendor, and romance which have almost disappeared from modern life. I am happy to have modern standards of hygiene, modern medicine, and modern dentistry, to name only a few--but I long for gracious living along with them, and this is so difficult to achieve today! @@pianolady19 No. I am content with my lot. And I know there has to be all different income levels. However, debutante history has ALWAYS been about being cream of the crop and being better. Look it up. It also stems from a way to marry off wealthy daughters. So yeah, it's elitist. Don't be in denial.

Beautiful and elegant Polish dance> one of the fife national dances of Poland. It has very ancient medieval roots where it belonged to so called tance korowodowe. The old Polish name of it it is CHODZONY ( a walking dance).. Polonez was first introduced in the 17th century in French courts and tbecame very popular hroughought the whole Europe. The term "polonaise" ( polonez) it is a French word that means a POLISH dance. So a bit of the history of dance for everybody, especially for those who are oinking none sense. AND The Russians, Moroccans Chinese and any other nationality in the world can dance polonez , polka, rumba and whatever else they wish if they want. No problem with that.:) And at the tsar's court polonez was danced too but surely not by the poor Russian populace who didn't even have bread to eat back then. Enjoy dancing !! and listening !! Now we are all living in more relaxed era and everybody can dance whatever dance they wish. :)

amy bbx I believe that culture, dance, music unite and inspire us all. Regardless of our origin, it is the treasure of the world. I am the choreographer of these two dances, but I also do dance Bell dancing , ballroom dancing - rumba, chacha, - waltzes, folk dances and anything else that make my heart sing. So enjoy and be happy that the world knows, loves and dances such a beautiful historical dance.
