Liberal concept started in the 16 and 17 century when authors like locke , horps etc . It came with the enlightment period . Neo liberalism which believes in state affair also for providing freedom and free market .

@@HamzaAli-ee1oh core of classical liberalism is individualism, that is believe in individual autonomy, each individual is free to decide how to lead life and achieve his life goals; Hobbes supported this belief. To him, all humans are equal , physiologically and emotionally, and are autonomous. Through his social contract theory he rejected divine right of Kingship. He declared State as social creation for fulfilling the needs of the individuals. For the first time he talked about the individuals and their rights. Hence, he is considered as grand father of modern liberalism.

12:18 i have intellectual disagreement with you sir, You said ki "darawna phase libralism ka imperialism" but colonialism, imperialism and ethnocentricism to even locke ke paida hone se pehle start hgyii thi...they might have justified their rule in modern times by libralism but theoritically to libralism to exist hi nii krta thaa when colonialism started to how could that be a part of libral ideology? plus if liberalism is all about individual freedom how could a concept like colonialism be justified with it that's oxymoron! i could be wrong please enlighten us!!

@@philosopherkyng okay...first leave aside Europeans settling in North America; true colonialism, subjection, was 18th century onward colonization of 3rd world. Second, the spirit behind colonization was enlightenment and liberal spirit of property rights, capitalism, free market, trading, dominance of science, reason, etc. Liberalism faced moral dilemma in colonization; they solved by taking high moral ground- civilization mission; European had the bounden duty to civilize their poor brethren of 3rd world by colonization! Hence "darawna phase libralism ka imperialism"...u may extend these thoughts to think more over it...in fact, u wud be able to see the moral contradiction in liberalism...liberty above( in political domain) below inequality, injustice, and bondage below ( family, marriage, civil society)...
