I almost have to wonder if you'd just be better off going with Energy Ball/Poltergeist if one is going to run that move. A charged Poltergeist is clearly overkill and if the Fire moves aren't super effective in the first place then Flame Charge won't matter that much. That would be running Chandelure on hard mode, but running Chandelure is kind of hard mode in the first place I guess 😂 the move is badass but I'll probably just stay with my Shadow Ball ones....

He already made a video and said that the 3284 cp (not xl) chandelure is really good for the premier master league, since all the pokemon are around 3400 and usually they attack with psychic, fairy or steel and he can take them all down easily. Keep it in the backline, then when they switch to metagross or something, you switch to chandelure and its gonna get instantly killed and people usually forfeit at that point.

I have tried this in the Great League While Chandelure is very poor in the great league I was able to win a couple of matches and i have to say it was extremely fun. When the incinerate ends up stacking up so much to where 1 Poltergeist puts an Azumarill to Red HP from Full and I absolutely just love how much of a meme pick Chandelure is in general its just so fun! Not recommended to play for climbing but its just super satisfying when that move lands!

Something I thought that could improve Poltergeist is to have the damage remain at 140 but the energy cost to be from 75 to 65 and there would be a 20 percent chance at buffing Chandelure’s defense by 2 stages. It might not match the move in the games or beat Shadow Ball but its just had an idea I had in mind.

Poltergeist is a nuke, yes, but Energy Ball for coverage or Shadow Ball for better stab are definitely better for it

There are more IV combinations than 15/15/15 that can yield a CP of 2492, like 1/13/12, 1/14/11, 1/15/10 and so on. i love poltergeist but having flame charge as a boosting move makes shadow ball hit for the same amount of damage but the advantage of having poltergeist is the element of surprise since everyone is going to have shadow ball and also more efficient to take down those poison , fairy and fighting tanky pokemon ! a 1x boosted poltergeist hits for 160 instead of 140 while shadow ball hits for 120
