Please note that the Flat V requires 120mA to operate, not 500mA as I stated in this video. I apologize for any confusion. Thanks so much for watching!

You, RJ and Leon Todd have really crushed it with this pedal. A couple of the larger channels made an absolute hash of it on release day 1, but this was great as ever and super helpful. PS studio looking good, too!

Yes! Absolutely agree. What a difference it makes watching a demo by someone who took the time to understand the pedal (maybe even looked at the instructions, shock horror!) before pressing record on the camera. Those other demos just ended up in a confused mess on a pedal that could be a total game changer.

The thing that always strikes me is that whether you play your strat, a tele, or a Gibson style guitar and whether it’s clean, overdriven, or fuzzy, you always sound like Shawn Tubbs. Just such a unique and instantly recognizable character to your playing.
Wow, what a great video!!! I never heard of this pedal before today...! Sounds killer. Okay, you make everything sounding amazing, Extremely smart little box. Thanks for this Clip, Shawn! Very well presented, very well played. I really like your approach... Best greetings from Germany. Michael.

Great video Shawn. I can listen to you play all day. Killer sounding track Shawn. It just amazes me how much music pours out of you. You never seem to run out of ideas. I can't wait until you put out the video of your song breakdown when you demoed the JHS Germanium Boost pedal back in Dec. Josh's flat V pedal definitely employs some killer tones. Thanks so much Shawn .Stay well.

Salut Shawn buddy great vid on Josh’s Sig pedal Love the written music intro! …. think the Flat V requires 120mA-150mÀ (it’s the Poly Beebo that requires 500mA)

I spy what looks like a Tony Zemaitis guitar. Haven't seen one of them for ages. I remember writing to him (yes that's what we did years ago) about buying one of his guitars and as was the case in those days, a hand written reply came back. Punters seem to be more welcome those days. We got a great welcome from John Birch when we visited his shop near Birmingham. He let us play everything in the shop which was a pretty modest place but stuff everywhere including guitars he'd made for pros and ready to be picked up.

Wow, that's awesome. I had always known of Zemaitis guitars mainly from seeing Ronnie Wood with one but I never had the opportunity to play one in person. The Zemaitis I'm playing in the video is licensed and built in Japan by the Kanda Shokai Corporation. They sent one out for me to check out and I must say, it's a really lovely guitar. I am very impressed with the craftsmanship. I can't obviously speak to how it compares to the guitars that were built in Birmingham as I haven't played one but based on craftsmanship, fit, and finish, the one I have is a great guitar.

@@ShawnTubbs I should have kept the letter but it's long gone like lots of other things from those days that got thrown away because we couldn't get them repaired. God knows what they'd be worth now. I think Tony Zemaitis did his work somewhere in Kent and that was too far to go to from North Wales. John Birch's place was only 100 miles away. He seemed to make quite a few guitars but I've not seen one for sale for ages. He made a Strat for Richie Blackmore that had the tuners upside down but his more regular players were Slade (that daft Superyob guitar being one such novelty guitar) and Tony Iommi. UK handmade guitars were gathering popularity in those days. I've got a very early Gordon Smith guitar which is still in good condition. One interesting endeavour was the Pack Leader guitar which was made by Fylde guitars. I nearly bought one of them for £200 back in the 80s but there was a crack at the join with the headstock so it stayed in the shop - another mistake.

It seems a little noisey at idle and during some switching. Noise wouldn’t stop me from using gear that I like but, it might break the deal for some. The big thing here, to me, is the lack of visual feedback. I have ears and I know when I’ve made changes. There still seems to be insufficient visual feedback for parameter settings. It looks like there are seven lights per parameter, plus no lights on, which makes eight visual steps of adjustment. Unless the lights have graduated brightness I would argue this is insufficient. A real slider is continuously adjustable and provides clear visual feedback. These don’t seem to do that as well as a real slider. I imagine they wanted to separate themselves from the automatone by avoiding actual sliders. In the end, it seems a bit gimmicky. The sounds are absolutely fine, which likely matters most. Unsolicited opinion. Cheers.

It is very clever but hardly cheap at $400. The bottom line is if you picked what you liked in it you could easily find the two or 3 good sounds in separate pedals that you personally liked their version of those sounds better. I expect that Josh will only use 90% of it 5% of the time. He recently said he uses just one T style guitar and his defunct Love Pedal with a simple 70's Electra circuit as his Fly Rig. Ananashead does the Crème Amp mini pedal with that same circuit for $100 if you really want Josh's sound.
