Every distortion pedal sounds the same. Buy a tube amp that has the sound you want. Pedals never sound anything like the demo videos. Tyler headstock is hideous.

Hi shawn , i purchased this unit because of your demo and im not dissapointed ! It definately adds more of that natural harmonic content and the hpf is great for tightening the lows and focusing the mids and highs ,very useful box and different to the usual drive pedals . I must say that Bella amp is very good for pedals , i must try one one day ,

The first CD I ever bought as a teenager was The Violet Burning: Chosen. You and your brother (?) played on that album, right? I played it until the violet turned grey 😉 been hooked on your playing ever since. By the way: if you go were to keep only one humbucker and 1 single coil guitar, what brands / models would you keep?
@ShawnTubbs2 күн бұрын
Thanks so much! I played bass and guitar on that record with my brother Lonnie and then guitars on the "Strength" record. You can't go wrong with Gibson and Fender. Maybe a 335 and a Strat.

This delay has a nice color. Very cool of Vahlbruch to include a 3 band EQ. I like what pulling out the mids does. I know that you only demo pedals that you're personally interested in. I think you may be interested in checking out the Warm Audio WA-76P and I would personally like to know if you like it more, or less, than the Origin Effects Cali76. Now, I know you probably have an existing relationship with Origin Effects, but you would also do the best tone comparison of the two and are very familiar with the Cali76 and would be able to make a most accurate comparison. I would compare them myself, but I sold my Cali76 because it's noise floor was significantly higher than the Strymon Compadre and Union Tube & Transistor LAB, and DryBell Unit67 which are the pedal compressors I own that beat out everything else that I used to have. I've probably owned 40 compressor pedals.

Shawn you always create such entertaining intro pieces. While I know you can shred too, you don't just give us endless arpeggios. This particular intro song was really nice Strat neck tones. There is a distinct difference with analog delay pedals compared to digital. That slapback was really nice!

To some people. So I think what I'm gonna have to do is start out with the 1st 5 notes and ends with the last five notes, where they ought to be, where you told us, and kinda fill the middle up with BS. But I'll keep working on it.

I’m interested in these amps! But I never understand the logic of building in digital reverb when you have a good effects loop and can have all kinds of choices of adding your own reverb that you can tweak to exactly what you want and in many cases with switchable presets. I’d rather they just leave digital stuff out altogether and shave some money off the price too.

Hey thanks for this, frankly on the basis of this video I would have to conclude the r10 is so close to the r121 that any difference is negligible in a mix; the last 3 words are important, but even listening solo a guitarist who was listening with me struggled to say one mic was better than the other on all 3 examples! I think it’s great of Royer to have made the R10 for those who’s budget won’t stretch to an R121, but frankly any producer/engineer tries to convince you that the r121 is “better” is simply advertising! 😂

It sounds fantastic but I’m not sure having dual use controls is the best design decision. If you set the level then go into the secondary control to adjust saturation, what you see on the dial now is not your level. It would have been better to have additional dials or dual concentric ones like Boss.

Any reverb and delay setup tips just can’t find sweet spot on mine??
@ShawnTubbs5 күн бұрын
I always listen to the tone of my verbs and delays first. For the reverb, I don't like having it take up too much space so I'll usually filter out lows a bit. For the delay tone, I start with getting it to almost match my guitar and make it just a bit darker. The rest is levels.

So can we just run this into the 'power amp in' on like a Fender hot Rod Deluxe/Deville and just use it as the amp instead of using the Fender amp's preamp section?
