Question. Is crusher run / aggregate needed? Or can you just put down sand as a base?

Hello John, Thank you for your question! We would not recommend sand as a base material. The best sub-base is Class II road base. If you use gravel, make sure to separate the road base using filter fabrics. A thin layer of decomposed granite can be used on top for added precision. Hope this helps!
