Hi.. What's the name of the last coat you added for shine or sealing ?

Hi, how many square feet does 1litre of the epoxy cover? And how many coats over the floor tiles do you actually need before all the tile depressions (from the grout lines) are totally covered over (without the paint chips)? Thanks..

A 200 sqft floor could take about 4L. That's why epoxy is used, it's thicker and levels out better to create a better base for the polyaspartic, which is typically thinner than epoxy

Why use quartz on the floor and is this crack resistant?
@Silinings7 жыл бұрын
The quartz is abrasion resistant so it makes a good wear surface. The polyaspartic polymer is flexible so it is crack resistant.

SIL thanks for the prompt & clear answer. If the project was not in a high volume area (a private Tiny home on Wheels where crack resistance is paramount ) would it be best to use the wall coating for the entire project? I’m also currently debating which water proof Under layment is Best in a new construction diy project ( weight is a concern & too late to switch to premolded fiberglass plus the goal is a full wet bath). Another creative question is whether this product would support any embedded items for embellishments?

Either finish is crack resistant. Not sure what you mean by "embedded items"

Southeastern Industrial Linings thanks again. I had a crazy idea of using small shells, but am thinking that they might need epoxy overlayed on top (I saw that you used epoxy to create a substrate).

Southeastern Industrial Linings also, can you PLEASE address what type of substrate you would use where currently only shower framing is (not even shower pan) used. I had Schluter-Ditra 5m recommended however I’m thinking they really meant Kerdi-board, which is more rigid.

Time between coats?

Polyaspartic, about an hour. Epoxy could be 8-12 hrs
