thanks for these videos. with this patch, is the intended output a random starting point within each random sample file? instinctively i assumed that each random sample file would play from the beginning of the file. which object or message in this patch tells the audio where to have the starting point? ty

actually nevermind lol it does seem to be playing back as i would have expected, idk must have let it run yesterday without audio so i thought samples were starting in at random spots

Hi, I have a folder with 9 audio files. If I want to trigger one of them from the outside, e.g. (audiofile_1) or (audiofile_2), how would I approach this?

I’m not sure what you mean by “the outside” but to play a sample out of polybuffer you need a playback object (such as groove~ or play~) to match the sample name (audiofile_1, audiofile_2, etc) you can change the name of these objects in real time to play multiple samples from one object

The main issue I'm having is that I'm not getting audio out of the ezdac, very very confused

Make sure you’re patched into the ezdac correctly and that the audio driver is on (the ezdac should be blue if it’s on). If you’re still not getting sound then either there’s a bug somewhere in the signal flow or your audio settings need to be changed which you can do by opening the audio status window under the options tab in the main toolbar. Make sure your audio output is set to output through your speakers or the audio output device you may be trying to use.
