Gday Crew! Please dont be frightened to hit the subscribe button, ring the bell and keep the feedback rolling of what you want to see in the future, it really helps us out!The task of chasing perfection is certainly real with this boat, the never ending quest of searching for awesome modifications will never stop. But hey, it is a heck of alot of fun doing it!

I had a Polycraft Tuff Tender with a 15 hp Yamaha 2 stroke for 4 years. It absolutely flew. About 25 knots. We called it the Flying Esky. I don't understand the issues you had of spray, planning and need for a foil on the motor. Ours was perfect with 1 or 2 people. They are very sort after second had in Australia because of ride, stability, indestructible. I sold mine second hand in 1 week at a good price when I upgraded to a NZ made Smartwave 3500. A fantastic boat with over 50% more room than the TT. Initially had the 15 hp short shaft 2 stroke Yammie on the Smartwave. Upgraded to a long shaft transom plus a light weight 25 hp Yammie 4 stroke ls. Fantastic rig with canopy and good storage. A mate bought a used Smartwave with a 20 hp Honda electric 4 stroke with power tilt. Ours in a manual. No worries with batteries. Second hand 15 hp Yammie 2 strokes are in such demand for their reliability and 35 kg power to weight ratio, because they are light and compact and no longer available new I sold it for Aus $1,700 5 years old in immaculate condition. It cost $2,200 new.... The 25 4 stroke was $4,800 new...

Marti, you definitely will not be dissapointed, my previous boat was a 385 quinny explorer and it is not even in the same league as the poly. The poly is quicker with the same HP, tonnes more stable, built in casting decks and the list goes on.

Good video! can you do a video on how to trailer the boat and motor. I’m curious how that transom will hold up with the weight of that motor on it on the freeway.
@On-PointAdventures
@On-PointAdventures 4 жыл бұрын
Gday Billy. The transom on the tuffy is rated to a 15hp 4stroke or just over 55kg from memory. The amount of reinforcement on the transom is nothing shy Of extreme. Given this there is no transom flex at all causing absolutely no issues whatsoever ever on the tow.

How can you protect the bottom from barnacles and growth if you store the boat in tropical waters? Can you use antifouling paint on these boats?

@@On-PointAdventures Because anti fouling paint does not stick to polyethylene. Most marinas here in USA insist on boat having anti fouling painted bottoms if they are going to stay in a slip.

Seems a bit overpriced for a plastic rowboat with a fancy name. What would justify getting this over a 16ft wide bodied Jon boat for about a third of the cost? The Jon boat metal construction would easily outlast a plastic boat.
@On-PointAdventures
@On-PointAdventures 3 жыл бұрын
I think the poly construction will outlast a job boat no dramas, no chance of any leaks , durablility is far greater with the poly but I think the one thing that would trump all would be stability. No Jon boat will come close. Keep In mind tho. I’m in Australia and they are far cheaper here.

😂😂 the beauty of false presumptions. The wonderfull thing with KZbin is the ability we have to cut and edit scenes to make a video less boring. I would presume someone would get very bored watching me sit there doing nothing as an outboard warms up at the ramp so we cut that out 🤭 and you are right, outboard is down with the self in the sand, this was done after beaching the boat, you will notice almost a complete glass off with no water movement to rub paint off the leg, to be honest tho and let’s keep it honest, I’m probably more concerned about the abundance of beach launching that I do as I would think I have a far greater chance of hurting an outboard doing that rather than at rest on a river bank 😉. But thankyou heaps for the comment mate. And I completely understand where you are comming from. Be sure to check our other videos to see how there has been no paint removed from the leg from dredging👍 Happy fishing and tight lines mate
