I did the same today. Despite working with MIDI sequencers since the early days, I've never actually used a tracker. I've had my eye on this box for a while, and this update and amazing sale finally got me to take the plunge.

I'm a Digitakt user but I just want to say that I'm amazed with this philosophy of constant updating. Seeing a piece of musical hardware grow over time gives the feeling that it's alive... and it's certainly its best advertisement! Play or Tracker, one of them I'm going to buy.

I wouldn't say the updating has been constant lol, this is the first update in a year. But yeah it's good they are still updating it. Digitakt has had some pretty amazing updates throughout the years as well

I have the Play and tracker is on sale on Reverb for almost 50% just picked one up... The Play i think it is a ton of fun but I also think if I had the option to return it I would just to have the Tracker... That's if you are into the Tracker style workflow... But dont get me the wrong the Play is really amazing too... and im happy i have both but if it were one or the other... I feel the Tracker wins...

great work polyend. Nice to see the progress 🔥 id love if you could turn off auto scrolling of the sequencer when playing, and move page with a button (so the screen is always static like on lsdj paradigm). my eyes can't handle a scrolling screen.

Amazing update... And amazing that you plan more things. BTW the new price tag is GREAT, I sold my tracker long ago, but with this update and price I couldn't resist... If you were able to send audio via USB and add some kind of synth engine this device would be a beast... I like the form factor much more than the mini, but I suppose other people wants portability.

Ive been on Preorder for the Mini and saw your Massive Sale for the legacy Tracker had to acquire one Immediately... Especially after someone told me files can be exported into Renoise too... Always looking forward to what Polyend is doing... The firmware updates make me feel like you really appreciate your customer base and artists/musicians altogether...

OMG! Thank you soo much Polyend! I appreciate your updates so much! Alone the hex numbering in 1.6 was already a blessing for me btw, so it looks like a tracker interface I am used to 👾( Grew up with Scream- / Impulse-Tracker, now use SID-Wizard, LSDJ, 👉Polyend👈) . I just start integrating with syncing to other MIDI synced trackers (adapted SID-Wizard for this on my own), so very good to see micro timing editing possibilities there, too. All updates I saw in the video look very promising and coming from real work experience! I am excited - must try them out immediately ... Thank you and keep up the spirit 🙃😉! 👾👾👾

A great update, But there seems to be a bug. While i'm editing and playing, Suddenly the Tracker will freeze, become unresponsive, even the power button stops working, I have to pull the plug and reinsert to get it to work. Is there any solution for this? Other than this I'm liking the new features... I've enjoyed creating on the tracker for almost two years now, I created a review video when I got it, but I may make a follow up video at some point with some suggestions.

This is purely for the original Tracker. Bringing it pretty much to par with the Mini Firmware (excluding feature like stereo playback, since that is only available on the Mini due to better hardware).

It doesn’t seem to have a menu page on the mixer window you just scroll through different ‘flavours’ of saturation but no bypass and no way of controlling how much of your signal is saturated? I would have expected a manual update alongside the release given it’s been 14 months coming 😂

You mean firmware feature wise? They are pretty much on par right now. Of course there are differences based on what the Mini's new hardware allows. At the moment that would be stereo sample playback. Something that our beloved OG Tracker won't see due to it's aging hardware.

@@sandroidmusic It would be amazing if it was upgradable to stereo by sending it to Polyend, the way the screen was on the Deluge, but I can't imagine that would be feasible financially for them. I guess this is one reason modular is so popular.

freezes every 20 minutes. had to go back to 1.6 after a day. great features added but the bugs added are not worth it. please fix soon!
