Who gives a flying fk about presets.Presets are other peoples sounds.Wake up and learn synthesis so you can create YOUR SOUNDS.

Thank you! I just got my Polyend Synth from Sweetwater this morning and I can't put it down. It is fantastic. I updated firmware and loaded Limbic bits and Oora's scenes to it. It's so much fun to play on. You almost can't make a mistake on it. Just sounds so good.

I spent 800 to get the play which can't even process samples , then polyend says that i have to pay 400 more. To make that thing of any use at all. I don't have that money. (And now that 💩💩💩 update is apparently sold out😂) Og Ocktatrack is doing the sequencing dutes now. The play is not resellable , simply because no lover of music should be scammed like i was. As if the hardware can't even allow to do the most rudimentary sample processing. How much do you hate musicians? Its just clear that you guys are scammers. I hope you get what you deserve.

@@gummo187 this is an one shot sample player with lots of generative and probability features and great performance capabilities. It was not intended for sample looping, slicing, etc. before buying a piece of gear, you should learn what it is about. This is not your typical sample based groovebox.

@@CuriousPassenger sadly it's less performance less generative then the old Octatrack. Try it out it's 600 on the used market If you send midi from it, into itself it easy becomes a synth. With way crazier and more intuitive sequence-manipulation- options.

the drum tracks are 16 step. the chord stab track is 64 step. but then he used "play 1 skip 1" to turn the stab (and overall loop) into a 128 step (64 + 64 silent). cool

Really loving this! Would love to get one but, sadly, the pandemic wiped me out financially, so I can't even afford a reasonably priced synth like this at the moment.

Big fan of the T+ and Play but I gotta say, I received the Synth last week and this thing crashes and has more weird bugs than anything I've ever seen, even with the most recent firmware. Crashes so hard that I have to literally unplug the system from power as the usual hard reset (hold down power) doesn't work. Changing scenes or even just picking a new synth engine almost always results in the first pad always playing and getting stuck on a note. Other times, pressing a pad results in nothing until the sound is reloaded once or twice. I think this little box is has some great ideas but it needed some more time in the oven.

Finger drumming is a gimmick. It never sounds good, and this video is no exception. Getting the timing right is almost impossible. There might be some exceptions like on surfaces with larger pads like Maschine or Push, but even then.. come on, finger drumming? That's what people do when they first use the instrument and don't know how to do anything else. It never sounds good!

Naah, always too many bugs that never gets fixed, never should have been released and often some heavy dealbreakers (number of I/Os, loadtime, much more) that makes it go to the shelf after a month…and never coming back. Hope this product will change that, but I doubt it - if the company didn’t do it in the first years (when they tried harder), then they will not begin now.

I just got one and the firmware does NOT fix the glitchy and pops- Also some presets from the factory that use the grain engine are CPU high all the time and are always messed up...

Please email support if you continue to have issues. CPU overload will cause audio dropouts but the grain engine should not be high all the time. It is dependant on the other synth voices you load, loading a voice will use CPU even if it isn't played. Gain-staging with the Synth is also important, but we chose to allow for more options than artificial limits that you cannot clip - and clipping can occur with levels over -12dB on synhts, effect sends higher the mix levels etc.

Hi! I have a INIU BI-B41 power bank, in the rear label it says: 10000 mah/37Wh, inputs/outputs: DC5V/3A(Max). Do you think it will (safely) power a Polyend Synth?

Been using INIU BI-B41 power bank with Polyend Tracker for months now with no problems. And when the Synth arrived I used it to power both Tracker and Synth MIDI linked with no power issues and perfect audio. I bought a second INIU BI-B41 power bank in case I do have any audio ground loop issues but not needed it yet. Polyend seem to have mastered USB powered devices unlike other big name manufacturers.

The way the video jumps around does a good job of hiding how tedious the workflow is - with LOTS of held-down long-presses. It's monophonic. It has RGB pads but no color-coding. You can't tell if a row is all the same sample or if it's 16 different samples. It doesn't even show which pads match the current sample. And since it doesn't remember the last sample you used per-track, it'd be nice if they'd just always display the global sample selection on the top of the screen without making you diddle the Sample knob. But you DO get to have the word "Pattern" burned into the OLED, so that's helpful!

Wow having the notes on the pads was a feature that drove me towards the full size Tracker Plus, so this is huge for the mini! Keep up the great work!
