Yeah, I was thinking of getting the MK2 Digitakt but with the built-in synths, this makes this really portable. And this has adjustable slice points.

Looks neat! I have some questions. Can I do live sampling? As in do I need to stop playback to record samples? Can I sample edit without stopping playback? Is it still 48 samples per project? I feel like these were the main drawbacks on my OG device (which I absolutely love btw)

Yeh it says so in the comparison chart on the bottom of their site. Getting the full 16 tracks and the synths. Basically one to one besides controls difference and the mic vs fm radio

As someone with a lot of rubbery hardware.. it would be good to get some kind of reassurance that the rubber coating used for the new "soft touch" keys is some tried and tested coating that isn't gonna go sticky in 5-10 years.. I quite liked the original Tracker keys.. felt very like the Yamaha RX drum machines Will there ever be more firmware updates for the original unit? Cheers

More firmware for the OG? Like the one they did a month ago? They did say in their newsletter that another OG update is coming this summer.

We are confident that the new keys are going to hold up. The coating is vastly improved from what was used 5, 10 or 20 years ago.

@@Polyend I confirm. Additionally, I've heard some complaints about the Mini's construction. Personally, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I believe the Mini was designed to be very durable. I prefer anti-shock plastic over attractive metal. The recessed screen may not appeal to everyone, but I consider it a crucial safety feature.

@@Polyend Cool, I purchased the original a month ago while on sale ( I had one a year ago and loved it, but regrettably sold it). I was gonna return my original and get the tracker+, but was scared away by the 'soft touch' keys .... I'm a big a fan of the hard plastic keys, plus the original checks so many boxes for me already. I hope it continues getting the love with all these awesome firmware updates.

I don't know why companies don't think about future proofing gear. You always have to buy new stuff (or should at last).

It looks amazing, but I don't think any news about being able to export wav in a better depth than 16/44.1 , which nowadays Is not at all enough for profesional porpuses. Am I wrong? (I Hope so, since that was keeping me out of buying the Tracker)

This is incredibly unfair to consumers... So, what now? Can we consider the Mini obsolete already? Did it stick around just long enough to make money for you? Because I'm left with empty pockets. We only got one update, and now here it is again for Play+, but this time with no excuses whatsoever! It pains me because I used to admire your company and products... But this is too much.
