For someone who lost their big toenails 35 years ago and has never been able to wear any shoes that show my toes I think you are doing an amazing service by providing this. Not everyone can afford to go out and have it done if there is something available where they live. Then add COVID. Then add it’s embarrassing. Thank you... also I see you have changed products from previous videos. It’s nice that you keep it updated for everyone. Do you recommend a certain brand of poly gel or do you find they are all pretty comparable? Same question for the base coat! I didn’t know polygel was a thing - I’ve just discovered your videos today, I’ve had no big toenails for 10 plus years and I hate them they are disgusting. @@Rally2329I use nanoflex poly gel and it lasts several weeks at the beach in water open toe shoes etc. it’s not hard like acrylic so it can flex/bend with the toe instead of how hard acrylic is and will break. Water has not been an issue.

Thank you so much for posting this.. My big toes are terrible from having ingrown toenail surgery. I literally NEVER wear open-toe shoes in public because I'm so embarrassed about my feet. I have been doing this for my aunt and cousin for years now the first time I done it they were going to Florida for vacation for two weeks they haven't wore sandals or flip flops for over 10 years they wore.crocks.on the beach or swimming shoes .so I told them I was going to come over and do their nails and toes when I was done doing their toes they cried and made me go shopping g with them to buy sandals and flip flops and open toed heels lol it made them feel beautiful I was so excited for them they didn't wear shoes to swim or on the beach they happily took their shoes off for the first time and I have been doing their toes since then it'd so awesome if you can make some one feel beautiful rather it's nails toenails whatever it may be you should do it cause there's no better feeling then seeing them 100% truly excited happy and thankful

You make that look so easy! My big toes need that done exactly cause my nails are gone like yours. Also do they do well in water? I'm going on vacation in a couple weeks and will be swimming in the lake, will they hold up through a week of that cause I'll probably swim everyday.

Working in salons early in my career and I wore heels a bit to high especially 1 foot was a tad bigger due to a birth defect. I was born with 1 leg growing faster then the other. Most ppl have a slight difference though my leg was more.. so my left foot was up to a 1/2 size bigger. I was wearing 7.5 when it should have been 8 or better yet... wore them to and from but flats at work. Lol. Especially tennis shoes. Anyhow. The left big toe was achy yet numb. Then started growing slowly and thick. I just keep it trimmed and short short. Almost as short at the lump on your toe. I know everyone is different but i actually considered doing this. See if it helped at all.. though i worked in a salon, I didn't trust anyone with my feet. Well my massage therapist.. lol. Until my 2nd husband.. Anyhow my podiatrist said ppl have reformed nails to grow a better way by acrylic use but polygel wasn't out then. He wanted to remove it if it bothered me... i shrug and told him I only need to trim it once every 5 to 7 months. No hang nails but then again I've kept it up since 85. My toe nails are well easy? .. lol. Oh but the drs agree that polish and acrylics wont hurt you... im sure polygel would be fine as long as you don't burn yourself from the chemical heat.. so the 2 step process seems great. Ty

Do you have to use gel nail polish over the poly gel?also I have big toe nails that are so dry and brittle they splinter and break and crack.they will grow all the way through winter. Hopefully you can answer this question for me, are the two led lamps really necessary ? I just seen an older video of yours and you only used one lamp . But now it’s two lamps ? If i can only use one how long should i cure it for ?

One large lamp cure for 1 minute . Make sure the lamp is at least 36 to 48 watts with 24 or more lights in it .

I have the same problem with my 2 big toes. I've been doing acrylic on them for at least 25 years. I'm so glad that at least I can do this. I absolutely hate them, the way they look all weird. And it is embarrassing. If I'm between redoing them and someone looks down. You can see them stare. I just hate that. I don't blame them though because it does look gross and they probably don't know what we deal with. Using slip and gel form is another great way to do the. I would regularly just glue on a tip about halfway down on my toes and then put acrylic over that and paint them nude to hot pink. The older I get the harder it is to do it. But sometimes I'll just glue on the tip and tell the tech to cover it with acrylic. Thanks for the great videos.

They last any where from 1 week to 8 weeks on nailbeds with no toenails . They will last longer on normal toenails and will need filled .

The base gel sticks to the skin and the polygel sticks to the base gel . The whole nail will loosen after a while from the skin . How long it will wear Depends on a lot of things. It depends if the nail bed is shrunk. If the skin is smooth . If you wear closed toe shoes a lot then it will loosen quicker from your feet sweating. All you can do is just make your nail and see how long it lasts .

Yes , it gets stuck for a while .That’s how the artificial nails stays on . I haven’t had any allergic reactions ... but that’s not to say someone else won’t . That’s why I only do this on myself . I show others how I do it , so then they can choose to do it on themselves if they wish .

With all your activities, I don’t think they would stay on long . I only swim occasionally . I don’t do all that you do . In the summer I use open toe shoes like sandals . With closed toe shoes our feet and skin sweat so they will come off sooner . You can only try it and see how long they last for you .

Hi Denise, I began watching your videos about 2 years ago. I had to have my left large toenail removed due to a hammer accident about 3 years ago. I bought all of the exact items you had shown but I could not get the nail to stay on my toe. I’m wondering if you have better luck with the items in this video? I must have tried 4 times, it would only stay on about 1 day. The instructional video I followed from you did not use the lamp so these instructions were different. Actually I have good luck with both . Probably a little better luck with acrylic . That’s what you used if you did it without a lamp . Are you using the Bondaid and Bondex ? Not sure if you have soft skin on your toe or more callous . I have more callous , and I have been trying not to file all that off cuz I think it helps with adhesion . Also , the nails won’t stay on long for people if their nailbeds shrunk up to very little . Also , if it’s cold where you live and you are forced to wear closed toe shoes , they will stay on less time too. That’s because our feet sweat in our shoes . I get the longest wear in the summer with sandals . Be sure to make sure your nail bed is clean and dry . You can also dry it out better if you put some pure acetone on the nailbed before the Bondaid and Bondex . Keep trying.

@@Denisejohn65NailEd yes, my nail bed is not as big as yours but it’s flat, not calloused. I will get the poly and the light and try that, I have the gel forms. What is the top coat you put on your toe at the very beginning? I will have to get my supplies out but I don’t remember my top coat being tacky or sticky. Thanks so much, love these videos! One day I will get this darn nail figured out. LOL...

The clear thick sticky stuff I put on my toe first is the base coat . Base coat must first be used when you are using polygel . You don’t use a base coat when you work with acrylic . These polygel nails probably won’t last any longer for you . But you can always try it . Make sure you get a good light to cure the polygel all the way through . 36 to 48 watt with at least 24 or more lights and with a low heat mode . That way you won’t experience heat spikes . ( burning )

FUNGUS TREATMENT I did on my Toenails/foot VERY IMPORTANT: I cut, trimmed, filed (top & around nails), and cleaned my toenails thoroughly. Then, pour 3% PEROXIDE into a bowl enough to cover both feet' toes. I soak the feet as well if there are bacteria around them. I left it for 15-25 min and did this 2-3x/week for 3 weeks, then down to 1/week. To NEUTRALIZE the Peroxide, have a bowl of vinegar and dip your toes/feet quickly. My toenails are now back to normal. Do not apply nail polish or anything during the treatment. If it's severe, you may have to treat it longer. Depending on the fungus severity, I reused the peroxide for 3 weeks, discarded it, then poured a fresh one. You will know when your toenails are treated. My maintenance routine consists of this treatment every 4-6 weeks when I remove my pedicures. I did not do pedicures during the first two to three weeks of the fungus cure. I used to take pills given by a podiatrist, which is unwise because it affects the rest of my body when I only want to treat a particular area. Peroxide soak is much more effective than pills that did nothing for me.
