I do the same in Thai and Spanish. I'm from California. Trying to decide between Chinese and Korean at this time.

You need to get a colab with XiaomaNYC, Wouter Corduwener, Lingosteve, Laoma Chris, or one of the other big streamers, or maybe Frankie Light. I think once people discover your channel, your subs will grow rapidly.

dang i love how she asked if his voice changes when speaking different languages. i believe she asked because, and i do not speak russian nor chinese, but i suspect that when she speaks in chinese her tone drops. i'm english/japanese and i never realized til i was first told, i apparently go very deep in tone when i speak japanese but my natural and more comfortable language english sounds a much higher pitch. after the first person told me in the high school japanese class i took to be lazy, its been a constant. i can't speak for russian or chinese but when it comes to japanese, now that i'm aware i can really hear it now. if i try to speak english tone in japanese i have to put so much more effort into it and it sounds extra feminine. i mean maybe my english tone might be feminine (dont think so) but if it was then i dont have to put any extra effort into speaking in that tone, i'd only have to do it to talk in a lower pitch which i can do but again, effort and me = lazy

Interesting how they all guessed you were from the South. I don’t hear that in your accent at all. I can usually pick out an obvious Southern or obvious Southern accent. But how did you guess that girl was from Jilin? That’s a skill I want to learn.
