I wish you would speak German too as I would love to hire you as my German tutor. Question: Is German language something you’re interested in acquiring? Many countries speak German - Germany, Austria, Switzerland, parts of Belgium, Lichtenstein, at the borders of Italy, it’s also spoken in some parts of the Netherlands too , so there’s a lot of Germanic roots & influence in those regions.

I want to know how you got through the moments where you are “stuck” or frustrated … sometimes I cry I am working so hard but hit a wall. The other question is: how do you plan your study hours? You must go in to that hour or 4 with a plan!

I like how you fit 5 min of study time in wherever you can. 555 I guess that's what it takes sometimes. Turkish is your hardest language? I know nothing about Turkish, but I don't see how anything could be harder than Japanese. Lol... Keep up the good work
@polyglotgrace3 жыл бұрын
Everyone says Korean helps with Turkish. But I don’t think so haha. It did help with Japanese though.

Sawat-dee-krub, Kru Grace. Bravo! I am a native English speaker who also manages to blunder his way through French. At university in the UK, I had a friend who was from Peking, China. She told me of an occasion when she attended a tutorial with 6 or 7 fellow students all of whom were from different countries in Asia - they formed part of a cohort of Chinese from the diaspora in Asia that included students from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and so on. Each spoke a different Chinese dialect, with one or two also able to speak Mandarin. When they were not in group discussion with their teacher, the lingua franca of these Chinese remained English, the only common language among the group!

What is the most important reason when learning a new language for you? Personally I think it is the culture that draws me to the language. I decided to learn Thai beacuse I lived there (and will come back after uni) However I'm leaning French beacuse it sounds beautiful, culture and the french Riviera. Is there any languages that you never will study for any reason?
@polyglotgrace3 жыл бұрын
The most important is knowing that language will bring me somewhere and allow me to do something I never imagine get to do. I always start with this reason and other reasons come later.
Khruu Grace can you teach me how to connect a mic to computer?😂😂

Hi Grace, I have a question to ask you. I heard that some Uighur Muslims from Xinjiang, Mainland China, went to Turkey for a political reason. They were welcome by people there since they share the same ethnicity. Do you know what language Xinjian people speak? Is it the same as Turkish?
@polyglotgrace3 жыл бұрын
Yes, It's call Uygur. It belongs to the Turkic language family just like Turkish. Turkish reformed the language and now it's written with latin(english) alphabet instead of the Arabic alphabet but Uygur still uses the Arabic alphabet. There are many words that a very similar. The grammar is similar as well. Take a look at this link to find out more. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uyghur_language I wish to learn Uygur one day.
