it happened to me too, I'm learning japanese for a little less than a year now and finally I was able to understand something, even though it was a very simple japanese it feels awesome to understand what is being said!

I know Indonesian is tricky because nobody in Indonesia actually uses textbook Indonesian they teach at language school, but thank you anyways for learning our national language!

so what resources would you recommend then to learn Indonesian?

@@joachimfischer7444 hmm… not an easy question to answer for me as a native Indonesian speaker. There are plenty of free lessons all over the internet if you can’t find any place offering Indonesian classes where you live, but it gets trickier if you want to get to conversational level. If it’s hard to find speaking partners online, you can try all those apps that connect you to speakers all around the world. At least that’s what I’m doing right now with French 😁

A source I would like is where to see various examples of handwriting for Asian languages. Writing looks very perfect in font on textbooks or apps. But I just want to see how it looks when people write casually and the differences between handwriting of different personalities, like perhaps someone who writes very elegantly and someone who writes like a teenage girl or someone who has messy handwriting in that language. I think it also would show me how people sometimes shorthand certain things. For example, in Chinese, I'm aware that sometimes when there's two of the same word, the 2nd of the two is written in a shorthand way, though I don't exactly remember how it looks, I just vaguely remember seeing writing from relatives during my childhood. When I'm learning Chinese/Japanese/Korean and I'm writing down notes to study, I wonder if my handwriting looks correct.

Little mistake in the subtitles at 6:01. Grace said "Je savais pas parler l'espagnol, je savais parler que l'anglais" Which translates in english to "I didn't speak Spanish. I could only speak english" instead of "I knew how to speak Spanish, English" and that's why she said learning french was "un défi" (a challenge) at the time. Source: I'm french :) Good video, impressive skills.

Ouais je l’ai remarqué aussi. J’imagine que ça se passe quand on parle autant de langues… Je viens juste de commencer à vraiment apprendre ma quatrième langue, l’espagnol, et déjà je me trompe dans mes autres langues… Il y a une ou deux semaines, j’ai même oublié le mot « terrain de jeu » en anglais malgré que c’est ma langue natale. 😳
