I meant to make some comments on this in the video, but it was getting too long (also I'm "the absent-minded professor"), but I find it amazing that A. Souter (of Galbanum) basically "discovered" this class of waveforms and then was like, "eh, here's another waveform", without realizing the importance and beauty of this particular sound. I think of these as a "missing" basic synthesis waveform type and, as I show in the video, there's a clear connection between the polygonal waveforms and the sawtooth wave itself (mathematically) which simply makes me go 👀.

KORG, during this BLACK FRI and HOLIDAY SEASON writ large, is going to drop MODWAVE NATIVE to $99. Same for WAVESTATE NATIVE. I learned this in a dream last night. Being an ABYSS and NOVUM owner, thanks to you, I cannot buy MYTH. So, thank you. Also, I've tried to love my demo version of KULT. Can't buy it either. IF the WALDORF PPG goes half price this season....I'm there. YOU gotta admit: there is such a thing as THAT WALDORF SOUND and the PPG VST HAS IT! I have Rediscovered NAVE and I love it again--except for the UI being sized for a cricket or smallish Beetle. I had a question today: HAVE YOU, THE WAVETABLE KING, played around with ZEBRAlette-3? Phase Plant, VITAL....so wonderful. ZEBRAlette is FREE, btw.

Hey @watchaddicts1213, I have done a couple of videos involving Zebralette 3, from several months ago, so using the very early beta releases of that synth: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGmqZ4eAeciikNE and kzbin.info/www/bejne/oV7KpaWLp6l1jbM. I'm sure it's evolved a lot since then and note that there wasn't any documentation at the time about features that I'm most interested in, so I'm sure it's a different experience now.

I forgot to commont further on this, @watchaddicts1213… modwave native and Wavestate native ARE on Black Friday special for… $99… in the Korg Shop! I’m taking this as evidence that you might be an SCP and we’re going to have to bring you in for “questioning.” I’m sure there’s nothing we can’t just hash out, and of course there will be coffee, donuts, and a few free wavetables for your trouble. Remain calm and in your current location while you wait for my colleagues to arrive.

So I will be that one difficult guy after all :-) I said to hell with PayPal and bought the full set, but there are so many different packs that I have to ask: where do I find the not-really-polygonal wavetables with the nice bell-like quality? I can find the "polygon redux" sets, but can't find any other set with polygon in the name, the "lucky mistake" bunch. Also, I am further confused: are the "VOSIM Sin" sets the same as "VOSIM Sin microwaved" (and so on)? Why are some contained in the larger "download all" sets, while others need to be downloaded one by one? I guess I wish I could download one complete zip archive per format (Vital, Bitwig and PhasePlant in my case). I know those files would be huge, ut I suppose it would be easier to download them as "Vital/Serum part 1 of 10" though 10 of 10, then remembering if I've already downloaded "multi_linear_wavetables_hi_full_110" :-)

Hi Keith! Apologizes for being the one difficult guy, but as I was going to buy Mathwaves, I noticed that Gumroad had removed PayPal as a payment option. And I can't find a way of contacting you other than through here. Is there a way to use PayPal to buy the set? (Btw, this is the video that convinced me to get them!)

@@kcrosley No rush at all, thank you. But yeah, it seems that Gumroad recently dropped PayPal, or PayPal dropped Gumroad, either way it's not shown as a payment option any more. And Gumroad doesn't have a "help" or a "contact us" link anywhere I can see

Yeah, it seems that PayPal dropped Gumroad and so the option isn’t available anymore. (While apparently creators got an email about this when it happened, I personally can’t find that message. 🤷‍♂️) it is sucky and I’ll be exploring alternatives, at least for supporting PayPal as a payment source. Meh!
