Im using Blender, and now im learning deep into topology, i watch and try to follow your tutorials but i do it in Blender, suprisingly it worked and i learn lots of things about topology even we're using different software, thank you!

Nice to hear that, SubD workflow is universal, in addition I try to use no plugins and no fancy tools so that everybody could follow me along.

Thanks for this, I use Blender but the modelling tools are very similar so it was a huge help.

I like the approach of modelling in ultra-low-poly, with N-Gons and then using a subdivision surface modifier to basically automatically have it solve the topology for you (ofcourse only: If you place the N-Gons corrects). Very time efficient.

Yes, exactly, let the SubD do the hard work, if you know how to guide it, you can model everything.

Great! I wish I had known about that pattern tool earlier. 😁 Also, really nice way of modelling that cap.

hi polygonpen thanks for the tutorial ! for how long have you been modeling to be so good ?? and do you sometimes struggle to model things or do you always know the right way to do it ? thanks !
@polygonpen5 ай бұрын
Hi, I began modeling around 2010 or 2011. Regarding your second question, yes, I do face challenges. For instance, before creating tutorials, I search for the most effective methods and strategies for modeling. However, as I produce more tutorials and enhance my understanding of topology, the preparation process becomes simpler and quicker for me.

hello and a big thank you for all your tutorials. Do you ever think you'll tackle UV unfolding? It's something we see too rarely and which seems so complex to me? With your explanations and your methodology I'm sure it must be much easier to understand. I apologize for my poor English.

If it’s for real work, I will use Rhino to do industrial model,at least it’s NURBS model and it works well with the latter procedure
@polygonpen5 ай бұрын
Yeah, it would be probably a better and faster approach to model this model, but this was for SubD practice.
