A quick note to those who have problems with the snapping spheres to the tree itself. If your spheres are snapping inside of a tree, check its normals, maybe they are inverted. In such cases go into EDIT mode and recalculate normals (SHIFT + N)

Hi! The video is super didactic!! Warning: when I wanted to use the bebel modifier it didn't work. Please note to uncheck Clamp Overlap in Geometry... otherwise it doesn't work....

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I just started doing Blender and I'm still struggling with lighting etc. The thing with the shadows was mind blowing 🤯😁 thanks a lot.

Thank you for your tutorial. With the ornaments, how do you get them to change colour all at once. As opposed to colouring individually? Same when you resized them all too?

Really cool! I especially liked your tip about exporting the shadow on a different layer to adjust opacity in Figma.
@polygonrunway2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Shadow could be exported separately from the tree too, but since they overlap I didn't mind for the tree redundancy :D

Hello, After adding a Roundcube, when I want to turn it into a sphere from Operator Presets, I get a "missing paths" warning and no options appear. How can I solve this problem?
@polygonrunway4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, the presets dont work in Blender 4.2 so just adjust the radius manually after adding roundcube

Great tutorial! One question (I'm super new at Blender): what is the advantage to using the rounded cube over the uv sphere for the ornaments?
@bellemin2 жыл бұрын
I am curious about that too!
@adamgreenspoon64672 жыл бұрын
UV spheres have a single vertex at that top and bottom poles of the sphere, it can create issues if you are trying to make a sphere. UV spheres are great for making eyeballs but icospheres and roundcubes are much better for a situation like this. In fact, you could use an iscosphere with a subdivision modifier to save some polygons. Hope this helps and good luck on your blender journey!
